I hate to be a debby downer, but as a mistweaver I'm 100% not expecting to use this at all. Between proc method, the loss of secondaries (not really able to be gained I think), and finally... it doesn't feel like it's worth it at all. Some mistweavers rarely cast Vivify (i.e, < 1CPM). I want to say this is DOA for Mistweaver, but there's room for improvement. I plead, any developer, CM, or whoever works at Blizzard... PLEASE at least make it proc from Vivify.
While I agree that it feels a bit underwhelming and could be upped a bit in terms of effect or have its cooldown reduced I don't think monks have to much issue proccing it through enveloping mist. Its used often for single target damage, so tank healing. Which is most likely where you want the proc to go to anyways. Aside from that during raid healing with your chi-ji you will be spamming a ton of em anyways.Vivify is a lot easier to trigger it, but that means its also a lot lot easier to waste it on a low damage taken vivify to keep the group stable where the effect isn't super needed, since most likely the target won't be taking the damage that the shield provides. On enveloping it feels like you can have more overal control over where to toss the weapon effect so perhaps its best if it stays there.
Why couldn't they just give it 7 more item levels and let it be very good.
I was excited when I heard it was time for Healers to get another special weapon, but seeing this effect, especially having to give up secondary stats, is disappointing. It might be good for prog? Maybe? But its as likely to clutch heal someone as it is to just give them an absorb shield that may never be used depending on the fight model. It really needs to have some sort of aoe effect to make it decent I think. Just something that gives more healing and is more creative than "Every 40 secs buff your Single Target heal".
For pally and many other healing class its not worth it
I'd rather have the proc be weaker, work on any healing spell, and have a 5-10 second CD.
Terrible option for Holy Paladin, who is also having to deal with significant nerfs incoming next patch. Flash of Light is one of the biggest sins to commit in our rotation at any moment, as there are always better options in our toolkit. To top it off, having to cast it just to hope for a proc of the weapon that quite frankly... isn't even that exciting of a proc to begin with, is disappointing to say the least. HP already has a mediocre tier bonus too, just tell me you don't want me to play the spec and that's it. Time to switch to my resto druid.
I just dont see the benefit for a holy priest. Too proc based on a spell I already have to cast, which gives little control over who gets the buff. Tool tip reads can proc every 40 seconds, not that it will, so they what, are we left to prioritize a player that we think will benefit the most for the possible proc, instead of risking losing our flash concentration buff. This feels gimicky. Sorry blizz, bad idea, not worth the secondary stat loss or the primary stat loss due to the lower ilevel.
Monks cast Enveloping Mist as much as Druids cast Regrowth or Shamans cast Healing Surge. Does the guide writer know this? In fact, during crane monks cast enveloping more than the other healers casting their most expensive fast heals.
I keep seeing talk about this item but I just can’t get over the name. Idek what a “lathe” was so I looked it up and apparently it’s a machine for wood or metal work that’s as big as a desk… how does that make any sense, lol? It’s like calling it the Genesis Wood-chipper, lmao!
Am I missing something in the loot table, or is the only int weapon that drops off of Lords of Dread, Rygelon, or the Jailer this int dagger that only procs on offensive spells? Antumbra, Shadow of the Cosmos?bonus=6805I know druids, shaman, and priests can use daggers, but resto druids, resto shaman, and holy priests aren't going to be able to get 20 stacks of something that procs on offensive spells that easily without sacrificing a lot of healing (well, maybe resto druids if it can proc on DoT ticks). Is there another higher ilevel healer weapon that I am overlooking on the loot table?
Is it good for tmog? ^^
