Самый лучший вариант это иметь в рейде совуха, который переодически будет корневать моба где-нить у лестницы и всё.

Ещё есть вариант проверить работает ли на моба Репетенс паловский, по идее должен.

тут очень хороший вариант- ДК, даже без танкоспека. У нужного моба всего 180 к хп, и бьет он как мобы в героике (по плейту). Как тока он появляется, дк его таунтит и кайтит к стнице (входу). У моба НЕТ иммуна к ледяным оковам ДК. Дальше все элементарно легко- дк вешает оковы на моба около лестницы и бегает из стороны в сторону вдоль лесницы, постоянно вешая оковы и переодически таунтя. Кайтера нужно иногда подхиливать, но это будет нужно редко. Квест очень простой.

Моб крайне хрупкий и его лучше отвести куда подальше. Даже танк может его нечаянно кокнуть.

Он выскакивает из рандомной волны. Когда в первый раз делали он вышел сразу с первой волной, второй раз он уже ближе ко второй фазе появился.

Classified as "Weekly Raid", I'm guessing these become available with the last wing of Icecrown Citadel.

2 each with the same name, which points at different versions for 10 and 25 man, Securing the Ramparts even has 4 versions, apparently Horde/Alliance specific if you read the quest text.
Except Respite for a Tormented Soul, they seem to be given at Light's Hammer, the Ashen Verdict's beachhead at the raid entrance.

Also, I'm kinda expecting a reference to Flanders's rumpus room once you capture Darnavan ;)

Reward is 5 emblems of frost 25g and 350 rep

The add spawns during the first wave. You just need to tank him. He's immune to sheep but other CC seems to work. He also puts sunders on the person tanking him.

He spawned second wave for us on 10 man. If you have a druid, then just keep him rooted the whole fight and it's super easy (don't kill him!).

The NPC you need to keep alive spawns in place of one of the fanatics during the Lady Deathwisper encounter.

Key differences are his name obviously and his armor, he looks like a paladin instead of a DK.

The quest is extremely easy, Darnavan spawns on the first wave in-place of a fanatic and has a 160,000 health pool in 10man. We had our hunter put his Turtle pet onto him and tank him to the side of lady deathwhisper, just to the left. The turtle simply auto attacked and taunted therefore only doing 20-30,000 damage throughout the fight.

We had a priest keep him alive, he said it was very easy and the fight was a roaring success.

He does two skills that we found:

1.) Whirlwinds doing moderate amount of damage.
2.) Uses mortal strike which halves the amount of healing on the target.

Apart from that, the quest is a doddle and should be treated as such. Using a tank is also a viable idea, however as we found out the hard way, death knights, paladins, and just about every class we brought did atleast one AoE of some sort, whether it be in there single target rotation or not. Meaning Darnavan slowly died and ended up kicking the bucket in phase 2 of the fight. If you have a warlock or hunter, using their pet would definatly be your first choice but getting a third tank, or explaining to your group to avoid using their AoE attacks would also be a possible solution.

This was quite an easy quest to complete, it was picked up immediately before the lady deathwhisper trash pulls, as a boomkin I simply set a focus to darnavan when he spawned and maintained an entangling roots on him the entire time, he does a whirlwind, and having the target of the whirlwind kite him back into the selected position and reroot him makes this relatively straight forward, Additionally, I used a lower level roots lowering damage but this is really unnecessary, he suffered 30-40k damage over the duration of the entire fight.

Did this with both shadowpriest (me) and a druid. Both of us got messages that the mob was immune and that we couldn't shackle/entangle it. But after a while; the druid were able to entangle it fine. He never broke entangle during the fight.

Might be that he's not CCable at the start, but is later on (when first wave is dead /guess).

This quest is really easy if you get a melee dps to go tank and just take him to the corner of the room, let him get enough threat then he just stops auto attacking Darnavan

Bear druids: Don't forget about Nature's Grasp - you can root Darnavan without switching out of form.

This is how we just did it on 25-man:

When he spawned, one of our Death Knights death gripped him to the back of the room, and then the moonkin (me) keept roots up on him throughout the fight

If you are the one who is holding CC on him, think about the following:

He is immune to all CCs when he's using baldestorm
It seems like he sometimes breaks out of the CC, might be some sort of PvP trinket-like effect, since it only happened occasionally
If you are using the staff Nibelung, make sure to unequipp it and replace it with something else, since casting your CC might trigger the valkyr on him, hence breaking the CC

there is probably more things to take in consideration when using this tactic, but it sure worked for us, so I hope it helps

we tried with a hunter pet, didnt work for us.

instead we did it with 2 tanks. a paladin tanking Darnavan throughout all phase one.
me a dk. tanking all adds phase 1.

when phase 2 hits, we just made a regular tank rotation swapping taunts here and there... :P got it down 1st time we tried this

Guy spawns even if you dont take quest.

We were doing hardmode on her at 10man and noone took the quest to "not spawn additional annoyance" during the fight, but he still came there.

Seems I forgot to turn in the quest last night, when we did that encounter, and the quest giver is no longer there today. So make sure to turn it in immediately after completion of the encounter.

Had a frost mage kite him throughout the fight and did extremely well on that fight with no problems other than the occasional bladestorm.

If you're doing this on classic.

Druid, Growl, Roots
Every time the roots is about to drop (5 secs) Growl again, beacause the healers will have oventaken you on threat.
If the mob charges a healer, some dead#$%^ dps is going to cleave/multidot/switch to it thinkings its a actual dps target, you know who these idiots are.

So just growl.
