The group sitting in the ruins at the Forlorn Woods occasionally emotes this:

"The figure at the front of the ruined chamber gestures and mouths inaudible words as a group of other spirits sit in rapt attention."

There's one that does an emote at the small lake in Crystalsong.

"The Lost Shandaral Spirit kneels silently before the violet waters, gazing into the tranquil surface of the pool."

It then stands up and walks away.

Okey, time to play lol lore geek.

Before The Sundering we all know that Azeroth was one continent. That continent was called Kalimdor, meaning 'Land of Eternal Starlight' in Darnassian. What not everyone -may- know, though, is that the highbourne night elves, or the Quel'dorei ('High elves' or 'People of Noble Birth', Azshara's chosen, the high caste of night elven society ten thousand years ago) lived in the part of Kalimdor that was called Crystalsong Forest. That is not impossible concidering those LARGE trees that stand around. I have no idea how they were crystalized though.
That being said, after The Sundering Kalimdor split off into three new continents. The continent what would come to be called the Eastern Kingdoms floated aptly to the east, (new) Kalimdor floated to the west and Northrend floated northwards.

If that doesn't give you an explenation what ancient highbourne night elven spirits are doing here, then you are bonkers.

These have been replaced in their northern location in Crystalsong by https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/npc=33422. Still around if you go south of the river, however.

oddly these count as Scourge for the Shifting Sun Curio Jewelcrafting daily, and yet they're passive rather than hostile and show no obvious signs of allegiance to the Lich King
