Most of the dots in the Eco-Dome Midrealm are false target hits. These guys are on the southeastern side of the Eco-Dome.

When they get low on health, these guys throw dynamite, which does about 1200 damage.

Yeah, I would like to have something that takes 1.5 seconds to cast and does 1200-1300 damage that has no cooldown

As a rogue I simply cant fight these things...
I had to abandon the quest I had where I needed to kill them and I have to blind them and vanish when I need to collect fel reaver parts

Bottom line they're seriously OP

Seriously, I have an easier time fighting the elite giants north of stormspire. Dont fight more than one of these at a time, and make sure you have enough health to take the 1k or 2k damage at the end. Watch the chat sccreen, it will say Gan'arg engineer gets an evil look in its eye and reaches into its back pack. And finish them quickly after about 30% or they will hit you with the dynamite a few times. Most annoying mobs in the game imo, especially since the corpse walk is an epic journey.

Wow, I have solo'd pretty much every group quest possible as a Death Knight up to this point. I am currently level 70 and have wiped numerous times on simple 2-3 pulls of these guys.

Blacktalon the Savage, Goliathon, Hai'shulud, Teribus the Cursed, Gurok the Usurper, Cho'war the Pillager, Gutripper, Bachelor, Banthar, Tuskarr, Netherock all solo'd.

Killed by Gan'arg Engineer repeatedly. :(

The dynamite they throw is VERY damaging, but it is an AoE hit, so just move around them in a cirlce and the dynamite will miss.

Yes, these guys are very annoying, and their dynamite is OP.

Stuns are your best friend. As a prot warrior, I made fairly short work of them with Concussion Blow and Shockwave. As soon as you see the "reaches into his backpack" emote, hit your stun, and they should only get off maybe 1 dynamite, which isn't too bad.

These mobs seem to have further than normal aggro detection ranges, be vary careful.

Additionally, if you run away from the mob as soon as you see the dynamite throwing message pop up you can usually get far enough away to take only one or no hits.

They like to come in pairs as well, sometimes threes, but they can be pulled individually if you know how. And their dynamites are a royal pain. But as a hunter I can usually kill them off before they finish casting it with Chimera-Serpent and Arcane Shot when they're at half life, since they tend to cast it when they're dying.

Also, although the quest "In Scrap With The Legion" requires you to kill 15, you probably would need to kill more than that for "One Demon's Trash...", so it's a good idea to do them both at the same time. I'm sure most people do.

Their bombs hit for huge dmg.... casts rlly quick and are hardly avoided for a melee

Ridiclous aggro range, ridiculous dynamite ability...

For now, the best thing to do is avoid quests that have anything to do with these.
Otherwise, you're going to be spending A LOT of time running back from Area 52 as a ghost.

As a 67 fire mage trying to make my way to Northrend i started doing the quest to kill these....Fire spec is way overpowered especially when you get an instant pyroblast....so i killed them before they could even think about the bombs. But then i didn't notice i was out of mana and attacked one and well ya i didn't last long and they spammed those bombs like crazy. So make sure you have mana....always :P

There is no way to avoid the dynamite, jumping doesn't work well enough/isn't reliable.
My char has about 9,5k armor and 8k health, got killed by 2 of these little bastards in about 3 seconds,
jumping or running has no use, they do aim for you. Since it's no spell you can't interrupt it,
I have yet to see a more annoying NPC and indeed, Blizz could nerf them a little though I expect them
to keep it this way, they are meant to cause alot of bad moods.
Some people need to throw this at others to get rid of their own issues.

As a level 68 Rogue, on these Gan'arg engineers I used cheap shot, backstab, then sinister strike to get to about 4 combo points, next hit them with kidney shot which is enough to stun them so you can kill them without getting hit with their dynamite.
