wow this map is so bad way to overloaded
Why do we promote this one and not mapgenie's? That one is so much better
Shameless plug for https://d4planner.io/map it looks tons better. :P
It gets mega annoying with people maximizing the fun out of games. Seriously, stop promoting stupid nonsense like this. The reason games are actually in a state of decline is because people keep maximizing the freaking fun out of them. Explore, enjoy, do things, kill stuff get loot. Again, stop pushing the fun out of the games in favor of loot maximization. Games need to go back to being more about the journey and way less about the end. You, too, people, need to learn how to stop doing this to yourselves, too. Games can't be as fun anymore when everyone's constantly doing this to themselves. Seriously wish the internet could just ban all of these things from it entirely, and make everyone go back to the stone ages of no internet for cheat sheets, guides, etc. Unfortunately though that cat's outa the bag.
in regards to comments about "stop posting this min-max stuff" or stuff that helps people do a game...some people enjoy this aspect of games, reading and researching to be more informed. you cant know what makes people enjoy games. just because you personally think its gaming cancer to have these guides and maps etc, doesnt mean everyone does. I personally love when the community gets together and puts time into things like this to help others. It really comes down to time. Most arent doing these guides etc to cheat or min-max but more to just get it done and be efficient with thier time. and again, you may enjoy going in blind and fumbling through a game, and thats a valid way of doing it. but there's a equally valid way by learning and reading and having things figured out ahead of time. you still gotta put the time in, but now you spending less time wandering and more time doing the things. Not everyone has time anymore, this isnt an issue of people wanting to min/max etc this is literally about time and how to use it well. games intentially drag things out, and want you to play more, pay more and be more engaged. by having these guides and maps it at least fights back to that idea. by having these tools we can at least get more done and less wandering aimlessly. So while i agree somewhat to your logic that making these guides dumbs things down and no one just plays games as they used to be, the world is vastly different and with the gamers who were in so called stone age of gaming grow up, they just want to get stuff done. nothing wrong with that, just like nothing wrong in going in blind and enjoying the game the way you want to play. as they say in wow its my money/sub, you play how you play and dont need to complain when people play in a way that isnt the same way you do or think it should be. It will be ok.
Back in the stone age of gaming we still had the option to connect to a BBS with guides and FAQs for a lot of games. Then people started posting them at Usenet after it took over after the BBS/FIDOnet era. There were also gaming magazines with sections for this and sometimes they even came with an addendum for a popular game. I was doing some cleaning of old stuff at the shelves a few months back and found such an addendum for Ultimate Doom (It was from PC Review July 1995). It actually inspired me to purchase the game again at GoG and I have had quite some fun replaying it, though a guide is hardly needed so I haven't used it.By mid '90'ies there were lots of websites with FAQs and Walkthroughs, the main difference from then to now is interactivity and design. Here is an example for a game from 1986 I played at my Commodore 64:Might and Magic: Book One: Secret of the Inner Sanctum – Guides and FAQshttps://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/c64/576583-might-and-magic-book-one/faqsFor D4 I'm currently using https://d4builds.gg/map/ to find all the Altars of Lilith as I prefer it to https://mapgenie.io/diablo-4/maps/sanctuary, and is having fun playing my own sub-optimal builds, as I have fun trying out different things. As I see it, Blizzard really wants us to have a map at a second screen, otherwise they would have given us the option of using an overlay map...
