Not entirely surprised here for Evokers anyway since Demon Hunters were also not available at Legion's pre-patch launch day.
Very wary of this expansion, I have hopes but keep getting the feel of dread this is going to be similar to SL after 6 months. I remember SL was loved at first then nothing came of the expansion.
Cool, another month of nothing to do in the game.
I'm going to go ahead and be the bad guy here: I think they should delay the release. While there is a bunch of cool stuff in the coming expansion, too many of the specs have serious issues, to include Evoker. There is also a glaring shortage of max level content that has been shown on the Beta.I hope I'm wrong - I really, really do - but this feels a lot like WoD's Beta.
Probably giving us a week of talents, then the new class and events. People are really underestimating how big of a change those talents are.
Makes sense that they would be tied to the event. Also not a bad idea to let people adjust to the talents first. The quests opening up reminds me of Legion, when we could do a large part of the intro quests and it stopped right at the quest that took us there. So when the expansion went live, that next quest showed up.
This is a badly phrased way to state something completely obvious: the prepatch event will NOT start immediately with the prepatch - which has been the case for several expansions now.
Worst headline every
I thought it was previously mentioned Evokers would be able to be played but not leave the starting area for evokers at pre patch. I guess I could have been dreaming.
i heard on a bellular video the pre expansion event was gonna be a 2 part thing
Buy the expensive version they said....
This whole thing feels super rushed and sloppy. Prepatch event testing was more or less a disaster. A bunch of talents and abilities are still bugged. Some specs were not iterated on through alpha OR beta. DF needs another 6 months. It's not in good shape
Headline is very misleading - Blizzard never said that Evokers would be available on day 1 of 10.0. They only said that Evokers would "become playable during the Dragonflight pre-expansion patch." (https://www.cuckhead.com/news/dracthyr-evoker-available-during-dragonflight-pre-patch-329099)So how could Evokers be "delayed" when Blizzard never gave a specific date?Makes much more sense to release the patch, fix any game-breaking bugs, let us get acclimated to new talent trees and then hold the pre-patch events and Evokers until a few weeks before Nov. 28.
Pretty sure there was a blue post, which wowhead covered, that stated prepatch 1st aka splash screen 1 and then a few weeks later evoker class would be playable, splash screen 2....Correct me if im wrong here.
Must be a slow news day during long maintenance to post things that Blizzard has already stated..
Absolutely terrible and misleading headline. Blizzard never said the plan was for them to be available on prepatch launch. Even the wording on their xp buff communication made it pretty clear they would become available "During" prepatch. The event was always going to happen 2 weeks prior to the expansion - see Ion's comments from early this year.
Delayed is probably the wrong word to use here. Is something delayed if it doesn't come out immediately with the pre patch?
