as a sorc main, this is a good change. Improve build diversity a lot
Everyone's making it sound like sorceress is gonna be useless. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see the issue.
Good changes, bring lower skills and builds up --- bring over performing builds down. It encourages build diversity rather than "oh this build isn't worthless, but im still going to do omega meta build"
build diversity- wishful thinkingmandatory nova in all builds - reality
Yeah, I'm failing to see where anyone is really seeing a lot of good in the sorc come season 1 (or right now for that matter). With the defensive nerfs, and we were already horribly weak there, we're now less than tissue paper. Killing our offensive just makes matters worse. Sure, you might have brought up fire and lightning offensively a little, but defensively surviving is going to be even harder than it already was.As a sorc/wizard/mage player for all of diablo - it's time for me to find another class - because this state currently is unplayable.Note: It "might" have been playable if they fixed resistances, and our Int did something defensively - but they havent, so we're just kicking around waiting to be looked at to die :P
I'm speechless, they nerfed sorc... This dev is just awful.I didn't expect much, but for sorc to be weaker going into S1? I would never have thought possible, but here we are. **** Diablo 4 man.
Sorc is just poorly designed. It has at least 3 of its ability slots taken up with spells that are required, enchantment slots that are the same across all builds, and too heavy of a push towards a single element type. With all the yahoo around the talent trees, it's sad that D3 soc has significantly more build variety. Guess everyone will be Barb/Druid for s1.
Sorc just lost a lot of damage from that passive nerf, this will be very visible in the late game. However we do also have the Gem that buffs crit dmg which is there for all classes. Not sure if that just net neutral or slightly bigger number than now.The other gem which also has a elemental dmg bonus stacking (Similar to D3), we might see more damage than before? With that said, with INT being still a trash stat, i am not sure how defensively strong the class is.
Rip aspect of control :/Being squishy af, randomly dying and fighting hard to do decent damage compared to my friends in NM dungeons notwithstanding, it was nice being able to stagger the boss quicker than anyone else and absolutely nuke it during stagger window. I guess aspect of control triple dipping was not intended. Probably won’t ever get to kill the butcher again lmfao. Sigh. Why do the d4 devs hate sorc? :(
