These articles are always incredibly misleading, especially the first portion about the 95th percentile. Essentially, the less a decent class is played the higher it shoots up on this list. They're the same lists as retail and just as useless

I've always enjoyed statistics posts like this from Rokhman and Anshlun. Thanks for making this. I've enjoyed these reports since they first started coming out in Retail (and yes, I play both retail and classic). I don't remember these posts/updates being available much in Classic or TBC. This rankings list is not far off from what Warcraft Tavern posted on predicted DPS rankings (some deviations). In another comparison, WoW TBC.gg Wrath DPS ranking predictions were right on par with how this one turned out. IMO, good to know. I understand classes will balance out more as the phases progress (my poor Fury Warrior....again, /cry). But in really analyzing the predictions for DPS before pre-patch even, I'm glad I made some of my choices for which DPS alts to level through Wrath. The only thing I wish these posts/updates would include would be Tank and Healer rankings laid out like this. I personally mainly tank. Currently I am unguilded, and still leveling, so I'm free from the constraints (momentarily) of doing what a guild wants me to do, and can play around on different alts as DPS for a change. (Also 2 weeks behind everyone since launch due to Hurricane Ian, so again, this is good insight to my decisions).
Thankfully all classes and specs while maybe not optimal... remain viable throughout the expansion and no gatekeeping is ever going to happen.Ofcourse the community knows better and will always choose to take the player, not the spec or gearscore.
