The druid is amazing, love the colours! I would love to see some tauren or hunter art :))
The detail and real character that Runesael brings out is staggering.
It's cool to see artists that I've not seen before and see how different people translate the World of Warcraft fantasy into drawings. The thing that I love with Runesaels style of drawing is that it seems to strive for a balance between realism and fantasy, staying true to the Warcraft fantasy while also working with feelings & emotions of different characters in their situation.I actually got alittle nostalglic when I saw the digital headshots because I think that's definetly how character portraits would be done if World of Warcraft ever made a game like Baldurs Gate!If I'd win I'd like a headshot of my Tauren Warrior Anvilhoof on Moonglade.
Amazing work with great details! :)
I love the sense of character in all their works, especially the greyscale pieces. You can almost see their story just from a headshot, and as a fellow artist that is a skill I can admire. If I were to win, I would like to immortalise my blood elf paladin in some way; he was my first character, and is still my main some 9 years later.
I love the colors and that glow most pieces have. Also I love the character that the subjects of the portraits have. That's what I struggle with when I draw, giving them personalities that shine through the drawing. Amazing work on that!
I love the shading work, gives real depth to the pictures.
Great arts over there, D.iva is pretty cool, keep up the good work Rune !
Hey, thanks very much for your kind words. :) Everything up there is something I personally wanted to do because I was excited about the idea and the person seemed cool to work with. It would be pretty disingenuous of me to take a commission that didn't fit that criteria. I'd rather be just as hyped about the work as my patrons, and so far that's been the case. The people who support me and buy my work have all been great and I'm super lucky to have them. ^^
Also, thank you to everyone else for all the super nice stuff you're saying. <333 Nice to meet you all!
There's a stunning amount of detail on these pieces of art, I'm very impressed.
I really love, the amount of detail. That the artist puts into the faces of characters, it almost makes them look life like.
These are so surreal beyond a doubt you could get easily mesmerize just looking at the details I love it all in general, would be awesome to see my character get drawn up like this. (:
Wow incredible artwork! I especially like the use of greyscale and a little bit of color like the nightelf in the second row, and they look so alive!. I would love it if i had a shot of my trusted draenei mage like that :)
I really like, how persons on pictures are alive. They are not just static, they personality is pretty clear from those pics!I would like to get a pic of my NE DK Narkolepsie, NE Druid Amanita or Draenei Shaman Lesapani ^^ (all of them except draenei lady have more references, in case I win and you wanna to check them ^^)
I've noticed your artwork on Twitter, Twitch, and more sites than you could possibly believe. I've witnessed a lot of blizzard and fan-made art of either just their own characters or amazing characters from Blizzard. It has inspired me greatly to draw my own acts of art whenever I could; even if they weren't that sophisticated like many well-known artists. Art is one of my biggest joys and just enjoying seeing such work being demonstrated, but for yours? Your style is much more verbal than others in the magnificent shading of grayscale, the vivid coloring, and just the overall style of the characters. It's graceful, smooth, and light-heart in nature. You put a lot of realism into these characters. I honestly hope that you'll keep at this as long as possible Runesael because I plan on seeing more of your work. Keep up the good work and enjoy what you love.
I realy like the Style of the drawings. I think they look realistic. I like the Character Pictrures the most. I would be happy to have one of these pic´s. :)
Apart from the inspirational story, the facial expressions are really fantastic.
I love the black and white shading on the portraits, giving them a sort of " in memoriam " feel. I'd love a Gul'dan portrait in the same style, considering he died and all lol
I like how artist could make characters look like alive just using black and white. And if i win i'll ask for a picture of my main character
