Love the style and the color use.
What I love most is the shading on the faces and hair. The shadows help the colors and details of each character pop out. You feel like you can learn a lot about every character just by the backgrounds and shading alone. The contrast between a dark blue background over a light red for example help to establish a story for each character that is drawn. Naariel captures the perfect aesthetic for each character and portrays them in a way where you do not feel like you are looking at a game character; you feel like you are staring at the players themselves.
omg that whelpling is adorable.wtb baby dargun.
I like the use of color and lighting to create interesting contrast.
Very personaland warm and lively artwork. I'm impressed for sure!
Love the facial expressions in her art!
As a paladin, I love the glow effect Naariel pulled off on the Dranaei paladin armour. Feels holy but not overwhelming.
Looks amazing, love the artworks! This is legit on a new level of detailing in my opinion. Absolutely lovely!
I can't stop looking at the ginger human female.. She is so captivating! Also this artist uses light to their advantage!
I like how clean is the style of drawing, very detailed and well done.Very good jobs.
I love the details and the human female paladin and all the nightelfs :D Would be nice to have a portrait of my beloved priest <3
The integration of pets in the protraits are the best. It is something I had not really seen before and it feels so natural when I always have one out in game that the pet should be in the portrait
My fav are both undead portraits, they just look so good. I really love Naariel's style, she has given personalities to all the characters.
I love this style! Each of the pictures is of someone I'd love to get to know in-game (lol, actually real life too). The worgen wielding a hammer is so how I imagine my worg to be! She has attitude to spare overlying pain and secrets. Naariel, you have a brilliant gift -- one that leaves me in awe. I can't manage a stick figure without everyone killing themselves laughing :) Hey, there's a power we could add to our favorite character -- she tells a joke and the opposing armies die....laughing! :)
Honestly my favorite thing in all of this is the Nightborne's sparkly freckles. They're so pretty, HE'S so pretty.
gotta love the murloc
What can I even say? Naariel is by far one of my most favourite artists who I have been following for awhile now. I am actively eyeing when they open for commissions as I myself have been waiting for a good time and to have money to commission them - their art is simply phenomenal. Very glad to see the spotlight being shone upon them now. Naariel's art is so true to the nature of WoW's style, all the while having such a lovely realistic appearance to it. I can not sing their praises enough!
I would like a female Nightborne with the dark skin shade and white hair, wearing the Van Cleef Rogue set. Its my favourite set, and I always wanted my night elf to be more of a drow elf. But sadly, with Nightborne going Horde can't use the Van Cleef set on horde. :(
These are all gorgeous - there's so much to love, from the portrayals of their emotions/attitudes (that worgen!), to the style, to the backgrounds which not only seem appropriate as a reference for the game, but also appropriate for the individual(s) featured - these are well-done and very much adored!
I really enjoy the feeling each different pictures give :)
