I like the style, her strong attention to detail and also the fact that she is drawing faces which are realistic, imperfect but actually perfect. Portraits look like people you can see irl, and that is the magical thing about her art. (:
The ginger human female is awesome! Excellent work on everything so far.
Simply amazing artwork! The proportion on all the faces is so perfect. The detail to the expressions really makes each portrait come to life.
I love the way she draws glowing eyes. I know its kind of a nit pick feature, but glowing eyes is kind of a weird trait i think to show well and she captures it very well. Also as much as im a huge Human hater that red haired human paladin is absolutely stunning.
Naariel's art seems to stand out in it's own unique way. I can't quite place exactly what it is about it, but it has that classic RPG feel to it. It reminds me of some of the hand crafted art in games like Pillars of Eternity. It's far too difficult for me to pick a favorite simply because they are all really good. Anyhow, it would be super cool to have one of my characters rendered by this artist. Thanks for sharing, and thank you for the contest! Good luck folks! :D
really like the close up character portraits. such detail
The azure whelpling and the red haired woman are especially great. The faces just all have a lot of expression.
I like them all but the most probably the nelf with heterochromia and the velf girl. Really pretty style too. Gonna commission this artist in the future for sure. : )
Gorgeous usage of light! The faces are really what make them come alive, though.
I adore the style. Just how crisp it all is, and the smiles on some of these. I can actually see these as people one might meet, rather than just characters in a game. The blood elf rogue (?) stands out the most to me, but that is in large part because it reminds me of someone I know in game. Whom ever wins, I envy. This art is simply beautiful, and as a roleplayer I find character art is always a wonderful addition.
I really enjoy the attention to detail along with the contrast of soft lighting and hard lines. It really pulls you into to Naariel's work. The blend of fantasy with the portraits realistic feel....OMG>>>These pieces of art are absolutely GORGEOUS!
I love the realism of your human warrior/paladin ... strikingly beautiful
I like the fact that it's pretty realistic and detailed yet retained the cartoonish style of WoW.
Oh my god these are amazing! I think I'm in love with the belf dk <3 I like how these look slightly more real than the characters in game. I'd love to see my character like this.
I Love the attention to detail in all of the character's armor. The Wonderful Depictions of the emotion in all the characters. The shadework on all your pieces are very very well done. My favorite piece is the one of the blue haired night elf with the little Whelpling on her shoulder. The eyes just look so adorable :D I also love the way you Draw Worgen. The Fur Detail is fantastic. Your work with them is just simply stunning, <3 owo
I really do like how she capture the very fantastical part of the Warcraft aesthetic I love so much (The armor and what have you) while still allowing the faces to be the focal point of each piece with their emotion and expressions. Really love it. ^_^
I like the Worgen Warrior with the Black Hand
i really like the worgen with the druid outfit, it looks so cute :)
This may sound bizarre but I adore the way she draws noses, they always add so much character to her pieces!
I'm particularly enamored of the dusting of starry freckles on that nightborne portrait. What a good detail.
