I started playing on 4.2, so Cataclysm is my answer.
I started playing WoW in July of 2006. It took longer to level back then, and I could only play when time allowed. I was level 42 when The Burning Crusade came out in January of 2007. O....M....G.....I was nowhere near the required level of 58 and I was seeing all the chaotic chatter exploding in the chat window. It was tearing me up to get in there and see these amazing new lands. The very moment I heard the DING of 58 I abandoned all I was doing and rushed to the dark portal in the Blasted Lands. After a few introductory quests I stepped through the portal and was blown away, almost literally, by the demons battling before me. No other expansion zone will ever compare to the excitement I had when first laying my eyes on the Hellfire Peninsula. The zone was bright, cosmic, expansive and just amazing in the complex layering of islands and mountains. The highlight of my adventuring for sure. TBC, you will surely go down into my hall of fame gaming moments.
Im worthy of the mighty expansion
Hard question. I think the Night Elf lore content tips it toward Cataclysm for me, between the redesigned zones in Kalimdor and the new ones in Hyjal and Vashj'ir.
My favourite WoW expansion was the one I started to play with, which was WoTLK, where I created my first charcter that I really enjoyed playing, it was just a combination if awesome visuals and a great back story, my DK. Who I still play with today despite the long breaks I've taken from the game.
I think Mists of Pandaria was the best expansion because the lanscape was beutiful and i just loved it so much.
Wrath of the Lich King! For me, is the best expansion ever made. Excellent story, immersive... i hope Warlords could achieve the same.:D
MoP for sure.
I loved Cata, the Mount Hyjal Quests and Dailies were my favorite! (And that Fey Dragon Plush is adorable, btw!)
Well this is nice of Wowhead.
My favorite expansion is WotLK now gif me the expansion please thanks you hehe
AWESOME PLUSHIE!
TBC because we weren't prepared
Burning Crusade, the first exp had the most newfactor
WoTLK was the best because of Arthas.
My favorite WoW expansion would have to be Cataclysm. I started playing about 3 months before it came out, and I was eagerly anticipating it that whole time. I was not disappointed! I'm equally stoked for Warlords!
I only started playing in MOP so that is my favorite.
Burning Crusade was awesome! Style was unbeliveably creative, and was my starting point to wow.Since then, wowhead is my starting page :D
I would love the fey dragon plushie! I already have WOD!
Wotlk was by far the best expansion to date for WoW. it tied up loose ends that have been around since the start of Warcraft 3. each zone was rich in lore, not just lore on the battle against the lich king either, but the population of the area. Zul'drak had its troll lore and how the lich king affected the drakkari, shozolar basin was wildlife and the two tribes that were there in the area, storm peaks dealt with the titanic watchers and their overcoming madness through an old god, etc. The revamp of naxxramas tied up loose ends dealing with the lich kings left hand lich, Kel'thuzad, and the events that happened at the end of the vanilla version of Naxxramas. It also gave way to what happened to the Ashbringer, Alexandros Mograine, through the Death Knight starting quest chain. Then the titanic watchers all seemed to have dissapeared, in a maddened state, into the Titanic city of Ulduar. The fact that something was stirring the titanic watchers, means that something was corrupting them, this being, known as the old god Yogg-Saron, was the one going about these actions. He was trying to escape his prison and the titanic watchers were under his influence, making it easier for his escape, but we went in there and pushed him back and destroyed the 2nd old god, the first being C'Thun in Ahn'Quiraj. the only thing that is still a mystery is what happened to tyr. The call of the crusade brought about heroic raid difficulty, and many new additions. the raid, Trial of the crusader, and grand crusader, were crazy, everyone remembers the gnome who got killed by Lord Jaraxxus, Wilfred Fizzlebang, and his famous last words, "A-HA! I've done it! Behold the absolute power of Wilfred Fizzlebang, master summoner! You are bound to me, demon!" Rekt. then at the very end the lich king personally shows up at the colosseum. Our first thought was, " Wes gon die." then the next biggest surprise, the lich kins' right hand scarab, Anub'Arak, back from the dead (wasn't he dead from the start? lel.) to be our next opponent. The lich king was next, in his throne, in the fortress Icecrown citadel. ICC was full of lore, Blood-queen Lana'thel, Deathbringer Saurfang, Sindragosa, and the lich king himself were the biggest lore troves in the raid. each wing took time to open, some despised that idea, but others loved it. Each boss had mechanics that were never really seen much throughout the game and this made it a well deserved challenge against them. This expansion was full of lore, from quests and instances, to the raids i didn't mention, but in all this was the bbest expansion in my opinion due to the fact that this game took full use of the lore around it and just made everything so nice and the gameplay was just incredible.
