What is the point? That a card game that lifted an IP by Blizzard put out one idea that the original IP picked up? I don't really see why it is surprising or noteworthy, Blizz has been mixing their IP together for while. The turtle Loa was around in Cata too. Or at least one was maybe not the same.
Ehh..I wouldn't necessarily call them a "Hearthstone tribe". Journey to Un'goro was released in April 2017, and BFA was announced at that years Blizzcon. Chances are the Tortollan were in BFA alpha long before Hearthstone considering how far in advance they work on the next WoW expansion. On the subject of the 2 games expansions being related now. Hearthstone should have been the minigame in WoW, not battle pets. With each new WoW expansion bringing expansion related cards to the game.
they were in warcraft before hearthstone.... look at Tortolla...hes a hyjal guardian or god.
So with Lashk part of the Zanchuli council (which itself is now part of the Horde) as well as the major hubs of Tortollan civilization and religion being tightly tied to the Zandalari (Little Tortolla in Zuldazar appears to be their capital, and both races worship Torga) Is it safe to call the majority of Tortollan as Horde-aligned? This is alongside the Vulpera and the few Sethrak still loyal to Sethraliss.
Old Nola, looking a bit rough, in that main-page preview image.
I love these people, if only it wasn't for the absolutely terrible world quests. Just gotta remember that it's not their fault :(
Well I appreciated this write-up, since I don't really play Hearthstone much so I didn't know the Tortollans were from that game first.
I hope they will do metropolis Gadgetzan in one of the next expansions.I'm excited for that.
Great.I'm fond of the tortollans and I would gladly love Blizzard to make them playable, also others more "inhuman-like" fun races.-also, if they could recreate Gadgetzan like in heartstone, it could the best expansion ever, for me. Boralus showed it's possible !
