No way that Blood God is Hakkar, right?
It might be.
Of course it's a total coincidence that someone did something absolutely bats**t crazy like burning Teldrasil to light the tinderbox of faction war while so many old god references permeate the storyline.Oh yeah, this is totally a legit faction war expansion. Not gonna swerve into "unite to save the planet which is also a battle for Azeroth," nope not at all!
So we're all agreeing that the Sea Priests CLEARLY look like they have a link with the Old Gods, and they're not even trying to hide it.
jaina is a old god
Yeah, I've been in the "This will end up being old gods-y" camp since they announced it. It just makes sense, given what's happening at the end of this expansion, and how frequently the ultimate baddie ends up being different from the originally announced focus - TBC, MOP, and WOD all did this. Cata and Legion spent a lot of time doing the "things are not as simple as you might think" stuff too - showing the old gods influence on Deathwing, and expanding all the light/shadow/void stuff recently. It's really hard to imagine 3 or 4 major patch cycle of just "You guys still hate each other's guts and are competing for everything," with no unity or underlying cause revealed, and nothing to lead us towards the next expansion after BFA.
void elf looks sweet
Yeah, everything is so complicated - it's not like the leadership is a bunch of bigoted bloodthirsty cloaca's with as much sense as a frog in a blender.
I wonder what content is going to be added in patches, they announced 2 raids straight off at blizzcon that appear to both be related to old gods, will they be released at the same time? and then they alluded to city raids, I wonder how those are going to go down. There seems to be plenty of content for this expansion already.
