Great x-pac. Very fun. Though I played through it all without the guide the guide definitely would of helped me if I hadn't tried it before.
Having infinite raptors provide infinite armor is nice.
This has been the most fun of the Hearthstone dungeon runs for me (I started playing during Kobolds).Dalaran Heist is not as dependent on just running a bunch of times in the hopes that you get the sheer random luck to beat the final boss of a wing. In previous dungeons, I would get sooooo frustrated having a good run, only to have the end boss rofl-stomp me because of pure randomness—no room for strategy. I did eventually finish all those previous dungeons, but it took many, many, frustratingly annoying runs to get there. The new system for opening up alternate hero talents and decks is an excellent addition. It gives some motivation to play each of the different heroes a bunch, even after you defeat a wing; I’ve “leveled up” all 3 of the available heroes in normal mode to access all their skills & decks. (Although, I’ve found the play X secrets one for the hunter to be a bit tedious, given how few secrets there tend to be—1 in the first starter deck, 0 in the second, quite rare in the buckets.)It does seem that the designers set things just a touch too easy, more so on the “heroic” mode; but there’s still 3 wings to go, so I’ll reserve my final judgement on that… Even so, tons of replay-ability.I expect to be—and have already been—playing this mode for fun a lot more than previous dungeons (which, by the time I beat them, I had had almost enough XD ).
