Can't remember exactly where but there's an NPC that after a quest says "The light is with me, I'm one with the light". Probably a Draenai from Argus. Clearly a reference to Rogue One.
Blademaster Telaamon
I am your Father!
There is also Follower Retraining Certificate.
Or as Peter on the Family Guy parody said it: Don't get penisy.
Also some transmog items from Argus and the Argus quest for the jed'hin tournament
One past it's prime franchise using pop culture references from another past it's prime franchise. How fitting. Gotta love that "immersion".
there is a npc "Revil Krost" that is in the balance druid, unholy death knight, and affliction warlock artifact questline and one of his pissed emotes is "I find your lake of faith disturbing"
Princess Moira Bronzebeard's (Blackrock Depths version) bikini and buns haircut are obvious references to Princess Leia Organa from Ep 6 and Ep4. And she (Moira Thaurissan The Council of Three Hammers version) is keeping her haircut until now.Several other female dwarf NPCs have such buns haircut too.Players have also access to this haircut on character creation screen and in barbershop.
Tanaris is reference to Tatooine (desert place, domelike buildings, large skeletons). Racing camp in Shimmering Flats (to the north from Tanaris) in Vanilla was reference not only to Bonneville Speedway but also to Tatooine Boonta Eve Classic Podrace.
is blade of wizardry really a light saber reference? I always thought it was a Thundarr the barbarian reference. I mean, the sun sword is basically a light saber, but I think the graphic and color is meant to be the sunsword (the name as well, since Thundarr frequently fought 'wizards' and technology was generally referred to as magic)
LOLYou know you've reached neckbeard prime when you think relevant pop culture references are a sign of a downhill franchise
No mention of Spirit of Redemption having the buff text of "You have become more powerful than anyone can possibly imagine."?
A parsec is equivalent to 1.1917X10^13 miles, or 3.086X10^13 kilometers for those of you in Europe. The kessle run is 14 parsecs long. In order for solo to do it in 12 parsecs, he would have had to go dangerously close to the nearby black hole. for those of you that don't already know :)
They forgot the quest I Have a Bad Feeling About This. Maybe not a direct reference but it's said enough in Star Wars to really be the one place you really remember hearing it.
There's at least one Stormwind City Patroller that does not a lightsaber. He wanders around the inner Trade District circle.
Will Illidan say "You are tearing me apart, Tiranda!" and laugh inappropriately at random to celebrate "The Disaster Artist"?
