Glad to see that Mistweavers are falling to new low with each and every weeks. Saving a fraction of a % of mana on casts will surely save the spec for the rest of the expansion ...Blizzard use the numbers you have, do something, please ? Some specs are awful to play in all content, do anything about it but at least try. The already strong classes keep having tweaks and buffs in many cases but the horrible specs have 0 tweaks done to them. At least try to pretend you are balancing all specs and not voluntarily ignoring the less played ones. It's getting ridiculous.
Tanks are in an interesting place. Demon Hunters are very high, Warriors pretty low, but the others are look pretty well represented (DK a little below average). For healers Resto Shaman seems to be the best, with MW monk very below. Worth remembering that a lot of this preference comes down to the other tools the classes bring, so even if tankyness and healingness were equal, some classes are going to be better for 5 mans. Shaman have Bloodlust (have you tried doing a M+ without Bloodlust? Drums doesn't cut it anymore), and if your DPS don't have, then Shaman is the only healer who can bring it. MW is in a bit a bad place when it comes to attacking. It has to be in melee really and its attack chain is quite convoluted. Tiger Palm, Tiger, Palm, Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick for a chance to reset the cooldown on Rising Sun Kick. Its a lot of GCDs for an attack chain. It could do without requiring the 3rd Tiger Palm, and make the reset of Rising Sun Kick guaranteed rather than random. In comparison a lot of the other healers can throw out a bit of DPS much easier and freely.
And also Shaman's Flame Shock can tick while your healing and proc a free instant cast Lava Surge. That is a much easier mechanic to leverage than MW's technique of the monastery which requires active "fishing" for procs. I love Resto Shaman, it has a very well designed toolkit imo. But MW Monk feels awkward and unwieldly in comparison. The way MW's DPS is like a throwback to a bygone time. It needs an update, and that will fix at least SOME of their issues.
Same procedure as every week
Everyone talking about MW, while poor paladin gets only $%^&, because blizzard #$%^ed up on the PvP part of the spec. Hopefully they will fix it in 9.0.5 or 9.1. It's quite unmotivating to be at the bottom of the dps meter and only getting to go m+ and mythic nathria is being a really good player.
MW does more dmg than Resto druid. Rdruid dmg is lower than all other healers, except resto shaman. From being top dps healer to now being only slightly better than R Sham is odd.The reason MW isn't desirable is because it brings no utility that the meta classes don't bring.
Oh yeah, that depressing chart again...
The thing is this isn't even about raw damage.Rising Sun Kick is also the only HoT extension we have on our very short duration buffs. Also, Blackout Kick and Tiger Palm simply don't do enough healing via Ancient Blessing, which is triggered by a very expensive Essence Font. The healing of the HoTs needs to be upped, cooldown of RSK needs to be halved, healing via Ancient Blessing needs to 1) be a smart heal and 2) heal at least two targets if needed, Essence Font cost must be lowered.
The problem with hunters now is the lust...more ppl realize that between a fire mage (with bl) and a Marksmanship hunter (need to have the pet out and some are "LAZY") mage wins...
Yersteday I, resto druid with 214 equipped ilvl, Souleting trinket (220 ilvl), crap ton of Crit/haste. Did 6k HPS on the last add right before Devos (+12 KS spires). 225 DTL cape, Photo. 2 people died. Yes, the tank waited the debuff from the last add to fall off. I just don't know what the heck can I do. With this ilvl, a Disc/HPally/RShammy are telling jokes in a +15.
How about addressing BM and Survival hunter, eh? Maybe?
LOL absolutely zero DKs or warlocks in serious pushing comps. GG.
if only i coulda been one of that 1% of mages doing a 15 at some point in season 1. but alas im only a 217 frosty and therefore not strong enough to do anything rip
ptr has nice changes imo, just gotta be patient a little more :)
