Is Surv hunter and Destro lock not gonna be touch at all ?I khow people always say that they were not good in a while but they are way too over the top atm doubling or even tripling other classes dps in aoe while still doing top ST dps.
Can somebody explain to me why it's so hard to balance specs? Am I wrong in thinking that anybody of us could balance the specs within 10 minutes of trying?
That 4% buff to BM Hunter really helped /s
ClassesWarlock* Destruction* All damage increased by 5%.HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHNice one, Blizzard...and this spec remains untouched, after its absolute joke of a nerf to Inferno a couple weeks ago. Nice, nice.
As every week: there are 24 Specs. Take away the Top 2 and Bottom 2 and be amazed how amazing balance is for soooo many speccs. Its always easy to complain about one one or two classes that are a little wrong.
Where is the SV hunter in the "Damage to Bosses" statistics? It does not make sense to rate SV hunter rated close to the top when values are missing in that chart (or they don't even have sufficient data to evaluate that.In general I think the single target data is more important for raiding, and when looking at the "Damage to Bosses" chart, the WW monk, arcane mage and ranged hunter specs definitely need a single target DPS boost.I already mentioned the broken scaling of stats to DPS output for the WW monk on previous posts, Blizzard should really fix that. At the beginning of an expac WW monk is OP, at the end we find them at the bottom (same story in BfA and Legion...).
If bottom spec is 20% below the top then why not just buff that spec by 10%, I really don't get it. I remember some ex-wow dev said that imbalance is intentional so that more people spend time rerolling.
So let's start with the easy stuff.... nerf the top 4... especially destro, its not even funny. Then I can't say for the bottom specs beyond BM what they need but BM needs numbers tuning given that it only excels in single target and isn't even doing that well, but also make kill command transmit through beast cleave for the love of all that is holy...
If you want to give monks an ST buff then you need to reign in their AoE dps as well, they're already blasting in keys where ST is less important. Destro and surv also need their ST nerfed as well if their aoe continues as is. Other problem is that specs that are designed to be better on ST do way less comparative overall dps than a spec that is designed to be stronger on AoE. I think they need to cut aoe dps in general or buff almost every spec's aoe output, then equalising ST dps won't be as much of an issue.
Buffing based on these statistics is fine. But nerfing based on them is extremely problematic. The thing is that if you're near the top, externals will shoot you up to the top. It's the PI problem. Demo got nerfed because PI made it look like there was a massive gap between it and everything else. In theory that's true, but only for those getting PI. Don't get me wrong, Demo was (and still is, to a lesser extent) strong without PI. But it wasn't "this needs to be nerfed" strong without PI. So for the people who weren't getting it? It felt absolutely awful to be nerfed. And then of course that just meant the PIs were moved to somewhere else. Demo still gets it sometimes, which is why it's still up there, but Destro gets it more now. It's a cycle until they make PI only self-castable
There is something really off with the number warcraftlogs are showing, take the Destro which is supposed to blast everyone into oblivion:Avegrage Destro position (2 week)
