Yes daddy blizzard, please hold my baby hand
it's bugged if you select it and want to select your other preset back it's hard bugged for me
Thank you for holding our hands ..I feel much better now..like for real.I was scared to death of these new trees..I'm making a elememtal shaman an those trees are a beast..You took my stress level way down thank you.thank you thank you..
i felt threatened by those talent trees now i feel safe
It's good change for new players.
People should be encouraged to experiment. But for those very new players that are hopelessly lost. Fair enough.
This is too hand holdy. I think the system is pretty self explanatory. Talents that are grayed out can't be selected. You select a top talent, (the only ones lit up in the tree) then other talents connected to it light up. You can clearly only select other talents connected to what you already have selected and this is communicated visually. It shows you that you need to work your way down the tree. I don't think this kind of tutorial helps teach players how to use the system. I think it's bad instruction, like those games that have you select a series of UI buttons through loud and intrusive on screen prompts in order to accomplish something (like que for an instance or open and purchase something free from an in game shop) having you hit glowing Button A > glowing Button B > glowing Button C before moving on and playing the game. Player didn't learn anything. They just followed instructions they could have easily read in a tool tip or (with greater than zero knowledge of video games) recognized on their own.
Fair. There are players that don’t even know resources like this exist to give info about your talents / builds what have you. Long as they are not completely terrible that’s good for these people, they can always turn it off when they get more comfortable / get “informed” of a correct source.I suppose I will try to build out my own preset at the start before seeing what the math says is superior. Be fun to compare how close to “perfect” I got.
Other mmos do that, blizz is just catching up. Before crying how u dont like it, spend 5secs to think if this feature is aimed for u. If not, just move on.%^&*! sweaty tryhards, ruining the game for others.
People are completely missing the point. This isn't for people who already play WoW. It's clearly for new players to make the already extremely overwhelming experience a bit less overwhelming.
Imagine getting stressed out over a talent tree. Isn't having this level of customization the point that there can be 5 shamans with 5 different talent builds? Also there are guides out there, and pre-builds. This will just make players NOT want to chack out their character, and would care even less about it, resulting in poor perfomance.
