Im not the most competitive player by a long shot, but Nefarian is my most favorite card and I try to put him in every deck I make. His play intro (with the shadow flyover), his variable quote depending on the opposing class, the random cards you get (with their fun possible combinations), his art, and his large stats make him soooo satisfying and fun to throw down on the board. Ill definitely keep using him =)
I really think Tinker's should be listed as neutral simply because of how binary the effect is based on whether or not you have weapons. Sure it sucks to lose when you're playing warrior or paladin (assuming they play Nef) but when you play something like priest it's a 4 mana RNG Blessing of Might that has to be combo'ed first.... not useless but extremely over-costed for little benefit.
I think for Light of the Naaru it's worth mentioning that it has value in punishing your opponent for healing, especially since you get it from playing against a Priest.
Hrm...this article feels like it's two that were smashed together, or something. Much of the introduction--and much of the specific card evaluation--is from a "Control Warriors are the only ones to play Nef" stance, but some of the discussion is from a more general view point (such as the reference to "mirror match" in discussion of Ancestor's Call, which only happens if both players are Thrall, or the Renolock mentioned in the discussion of Demonheart). This makes it a bit harder to follow the gist of the article--are we talking about which cards Nef won't be able to give control warriors, and how much they'll be missed, or are we talking about which cards Nef won't be able to give to anyone?
It's really sad to say farewell to those cards (atleast in Standard), but we'll get a chance to see new cards in action. You never know how good or bad in general it's gonna be in future (until you see it yourself).Let's hope for the best.
Ehhh why is this showing up on Wowhead.com when its hearthstone
Cards are going out, but some will be coming in. Let's just hope that we get some desirable spells for our Nef and Burgle shenanigans. Here's hoping for something that can fill a similar role to Velen's Chosen. With priest having a weaker early game than many classes, getting a turn 3 Velen's Chosen onto a minion was often the tempo-shot required to win games.
