How do they play for those of us with sausage like appendages?
I can't speak for the Trinity version, but regular Razer Nagas break after about 6 months for me. I ran through three before I finally found another mouse with 9+ buttons on it. I'd recommend using one of the Logitech mice instead. I think there are newer, better models, but I have had the G600 for 3 years now and it hasn't messed up yet. Honestly, anything but Razer if you want value.
I love playing with my Naga + some mouseover macros. Has done a bit for my hand pains, too. The intro of the Lefty Naga was a massive game-changer for me. Too bad they'll never make a Lefty Trinity, or a gamepad for the right hand.My tips would be to use the Naga's numbers as much as possible out of game, too, to help with muscle memory, use an Actionbar replacement add-on in-game to create button grids matching the Naga's number pad for quick glance help, and bind One of the action bars to shift-1 - shift-12 and one to Ctrl also, if you need more buttons and you're not a pet class.IDK if the Trinity has the side clicks for the scroll like my Lefty Naga does, but I find them super convenient for spacebar and X.For macros, the @cursor mouseover macros have been great for Vengeance Demon Hunter's Sigils. Also Infernal Strike.
Logitech has a version, I got it on sale for 40 bucks. Has lasted twice as long as the Razer Naga I had, Corsair recently* released one that has the same button layout and functionality.*Note: I am actually not sure when it came out, but as I was looking about a year ago and did not see it, I assume within the last year.*
I like Razer products, but I don't have blind brand loyalty. I think my next mouse will be the logitech g600, but I don't go through Razers as quickly as everyone tells me I should destroy them in (6 months? What are you people doing to these mice?).
I have used a razer mouse since Lich dropped and it is amazing. I think in your case it could be just operator head space and timing!
It's your favorite mouse at Wowhead?Things I learn today: either no one on the Wowhead team is left-handed, or their opinion on this mouse has been dutifully noted and summarily overruled. And I wouldn't necessarily trash Razer, who was to my knowledge the only manufacturer with a left-handed version of its MMO gaming mouse (the 2014 Naga). It can still be found on eBay and Amazon, apparently, but who knows for how long. I'm hesitating about buying one, and in the meantime, I'll just stick to an ambidextrous mouse with very few buttons, and fumble to death in pvp and pve alike. Thanks for nothing, mouse manufacturers.
I've used a Naga since they came out in 2009...The first one I had for a few years only died because I left a drink on my desk overnight, my cat knocked it over on the mouse and it sat in the puddle all night. 😣I have had the 2012 version since then. I bought the trinity earlier this year only because I like the concept of the changeable plates since I play other stuff I'd like to have other set ups for. The 2012 version is still working fine and I use it on my laptop now.I havent had a problem ever with a Naga mouse but I take really good care of my accessories. As in I dont slam, throw them around, hit them etc. I get the feeling you people with ones breaking within 6 months cannot say the same....
lol, are you guys hitting the Naga buttons with punches? Been using a Naga+Orbweaver combo for over 4 years and only now my Naga is starting to malfunction (wheel press and button '3' are not responding to light presses anymore).Anyways, my experience in pvp has improved a lot with those. And mouseover macros are a must to me now, can't play without them anymore.
Ive had the one Naga 2014 since it came out and still works perfectly. Dont know what some people do with their mice. That being said I find the side buttons abit slippery at times, which lead to misclicks. As for setup,I keep Pummel and Execute as Scroll Up and Down respectively, and use the side buttons for situational abilities & cooldowns (Charge, Heroic Leap, Last Stand, Rallying Cry, Recklessness etc), as I use an Orbweaver for rotational abilities and movement (was a G13 which finally bit the dust - miss that joystick for movement though...). I want to try the G600 as Ive heard good thing.
Everyone who has problems with their wheel buttons not working, get compressed air use it to blow the @#$% out of the mouse. Its not actually broken, #$%^ just gets inside there really easily.
Great article. Very informative for newer players.
I've used Logitech G600 and now Razer trinity. Both are pretty good and in particular, G600 has a ring finger button, which is quite useful(I've used it as a target-nearest-enemy function). Razer trinity has better(soft but clicky) wheel button and tilt wheel(except for the tilt wheel isn't the real tilt wheel, but you could map a keyboard key to it). The 12 side buttons are really useful, but I've used them only for target spells. Some buttons are not easily reachable without hand movement, so the cursor is often moved too when I press the button. => bad for mouseover spell. But perhaps if you have bigger hand and longer thumb than me, you could use them as mouseover buttons.
We've been paid by Razer ~ Fixed
My Razer Naga Molten is going into its 6/7th year and still going strong.
Because of wrist pain I have to use a vertical mouse, however no-one that makes gaming devices seems to make one. At all.Just saying, if a company would release a vertical gaming mouse with high DPI it would be an instant buy from my and probably many other people with wrist pain in a similar situation.
