Guess that 1:30 - 7:30 is gonna suck if you live on the west coast and have to work a little late or have a long commute. Hopefully those spawn windows will occur at different times of the day each day they occur, else some folks are going to get frustrated quickly at not being able to complete what should be a fairly straight forward achievement.
So, let me get this straight. The invasions are on a six hour timer. Once per day. Presumably at the same time each day. Well, then. Guess Blizzard doesn't care about those of us with an actual life. You know, like work, school, or family. Good job on making a requirement for flying near impossible for some people.
Or just grab two friends. We did it in about 6-7 minutes.
I was expecting Armies of legionfall rep for the invasion world quests, too, just like most other people. *Very* disappointed by this :(
No daggers during the invasion?
I really didn't think Blizzard could screw up 7.2 any worse than they had the first couple of days.Invasions hit today....I was WRONG... they managed to screw that up as well. Great Patch BLIZZ! *not*
Based on the WQ I'm seeing so far for this, it seems like a good way to farm Nethershards. Not digging the 6 hour timer myself but I'm guessing once all four zone invasions become available, there should always be an invasion active.Edit: Lost the last edit. My thoughts on the invasions:The invasions seem a little too drawn-out. I don't mind doing 4 WQ to progress it since AFKing the older invasions was pretty OP (though I appreciate that Blizzard greatly increased the incentive to actually participate for that iteration), but the quest chain that happens afterwards is basically the equivalent of 2 more WQ plus a 3-man Scenario which seems a little excessive (and I rarely make this criticism). The 3-man Scenario was a surprise but also disappointing to see since it's so limited to queue for compared to the no-strings attached group Scenarios I prefer. Maybe we'll see them again someday...That said, the rewards seem fairly decent. Got some good gear and a ton of Nethershards (easily a couple thousand), making this a good daily event to farm for the currency. No rep for Legionfall really but at least some Paragon rep was acquired (plus the WQ count towards Emissary, which is a huge plus imo).I'm really not a fan of being unable to do the elite WQ in a raid though. That was always a strength of doing rare and elite WQ. Faction tagging is pretty obnoxious too, as usual.
So what mobs, drop these new weapons? Any good grinding spots for them? Drop off any invasion mob?
6 hours? Wow, Blizzard is really pushing the gating this patch. It's almost as if they don't actually want their playerbase to be able to fly...Also sucks for anyone on an Oceanic server, as these invasions seem to start at 6:30am.
Up tp now I have not been able to sent dauntless tokens to alts, as they are bound. Will that change with the invasions?
For a company located in Irvine, CA, you'd expect Blizzard to be more sympathetic to people living on the west coast. Had to rush home from work to narrowly repel the invasion with only a minute to spare. -_-
To anyone wondering, you can repel the final phase of the invasion as long as you enter the scenario before the invasion countdown expires. I managed to get in with 2 other random people at the 00:01 mark and we were able to leisurely kill everything. None of us died, however, so I don't know how that will affect your experience. To be safe, just don't die. :P
Why are there no bows?
Glad to see the missing weapons that didn't end up dropping during the 7.0 invasions! The news post also states there's transmog armor that drops, but doesn't show any examples (at the time of me writing this). I'd be very curious to see what's included in those!
