What a surprise to all mop lovers, am I blind or see an expansion totally in decline even Cataclysm was better than Mop, and I always have to hear from the kids that mop was the best expansion, But where, But when, but where never played these guys😂😂😂, the problem of cata that were the advent of the legendary that One shot enemyi, and compress the talent trees giving importance to instant spells, the game was starting to change, more off-healing more spam more oneshot macros, and above all there was starting to be more mobility in the game, what was not there in the old expansions, the game had become no longer hard but easier, many causal players could reach certain goals that before it was impossible to get there because they are too difficult. I could give 1000 examples of classes that changed and were easier to play
Cataclysm Minus... honestly seems REALLY interesting to me. I'd love it if they could go back and redo the scrapped Abyssal Maw raid for it. That would be really cool
For me everything I've done holinka should be canceled. Ever since he joined the pvp designer team in cataclysm, people seeing his modifications and his ideas abandoned wow, for the simple fact that everything that changed this gentleman was all wrong was the beginning of your failure. and it is only with the advent of the Classic that you Blizzard have been able to see the great bull%^&* that you have been doing so far
What was terrible about Cata is that you gave us flying from the beginning only to change your minds like cowards and take it away again. We haven't had flying in current content since the Firelands introduction patch, "The Molten Front". We only get flying now when it's over. I'll never forgive Blizzard for that, nor will Dragon Riding take its place.
I think the "Classic" game will end with the fall of the Lich King, putting and end to the Warcraft story that began with Warcraft II (Ner'zhul) and III (Arthas becoming the Lich King). He was the ultimate villain ever by then. There won't be a "Cataclysm Classic".
I wish they'd have Dungeon Finder and Non-Dungeon Finder servers for Wrath Classic. Let us actually choose.
cataclysm MINUS LMOA made my day
What scares me, growing up with Vanilla, TBC and Wrath, is that we're already heading in to the second expansion. They've used the same timeframe in terms of expansion releases, and when I was a kid these felt like they lasted forever. Now I feel like classic just came out. HELP, I'M GROWING OLD
lol he is asking if people didnt like cata because of dungeon finder from the start.. hahaha it is confirmed, these people are aliens, they just recently came to earth
I had a weird thought.Given all the leveling changes in cata, and the timey-wimey effect it caused for level 60-80 on a new toon, how about implementing a "Cataclysm fresh start".Rather than upgrading current wrath into cata, start new realms where people have to create new characters. Cut out the TBC/Wrath zones, rescale the 80-85 zones to be 60-70.
It actually made me happy that Ion asked what does the community want? I think that they should do more streams like this, and really ask what the community wants, similar to how OldSchoolRS does it. OldSchoolRS has done really well with community voting, strawpolls ect.
Here's hoping someone from Blizzard does actually read this stuff, because as much as I love Classic up to this point and would be fine with annual rolling seasons starting from Classic to Wrath Classic, I do actually want Cataclysm. The why is simple.Kanariya has the best summary of my stance yet, the only thing I personally would emphasize is just what a huge downturn everything was from Dragon Soul on. Looking For Raid being one of those most notable aspects that really further diminished the experience (we live in an age where randos can down Illidan Stormrage or Zovaal, I am pretty sure Looking For Raid isn't actually needed in Cataclysm). I am not even sure if anything could be done here about it but maybe include whatever cut content there was that survived, if any (looking at you, Abyssal Maw).Cataclysm had a nice jump up in difficulty from Wrath of the Lich King and while I think that soured a ton of casual players at the time where they couldn't casually demolish everything and needed to use class abilities or hard counters, it's again a different age. I don't think this is nearly as much a problem now as it was back then. Cataclysm had amazing dungeons and raids, barring that one aforementioned exception, and some of them were legitimately difficult at their start. Rare items were rare, epics were epic, and grinding for crafting for items and doing dungeons for reputation had a lot of that Burning Crusade spark. It really was a Cataclysm too because the old world we loved, clearly, was gone. It uprooted everything we knew and understood. But it also had amazing open world content at some significant points, probably headed off by the Firelands Invasion and the progress of that. It felt like it took forever but only because you wanted the next piece of a major embellishment of the tier.Honestly, even the simplified talent trees were fine. Maybe it is because I play a druid who's mainstay is Cat Form over Dire Bear Form but it's the case that what I do with talents feels a lot different from say, other druids. Or that sometimes I did need to change things.
