The Jaina one is good, but the others are uh... Yeah....
Is there anywhere we can buy prints of these? I would be very interested in getting the Jaina one framed and hanging it in my apartment if so.Edit: Nvm. Just checked the Artist's Twitter page and it seems like they aren't for sale... Unfortunate.
The Jania one isn't awful. The rest though uh yikes.
I like the colors but that's about it. It's like someone took a still from the cinematic and went to crazy town in Adobe Illustrator. Ew.
...so wait, running a screenshot through Photoshop a couple times is art now?
For those saying that these are "awful" or "bad", I invite you to do better. I'll be waiting.
Sylvanas' looks very strange.
"Let's see you do better" has never been a valid argument. It is an attempt to mask the fact that you have nothing to say but feel you need to defend something. That being said, I like the colors but again these are just photoshopped stills. At least they didn't try to say it's street art again.
I don't really get what they are going for here. The random colors and patterns don't really seem to do anything and it's not like some clever picture made up of signifigant things that are patched together to create the image of the person they are signifigant too.. its not even a clever picture of color choices, I mean Jaina is a frost mage but shes made up mostly of reds? That's not a color associated with her or her cinematic. It's just.. random patches slapped together. The poses they picked are also kinda.. questionable.
As I've said before, criticism is best when handled constructively- I don't find calling something plain "bad" very pleasant.Other then that, I like to look at the good aspects of the artwork- I, for one, quite like the colour scheme- you may have a different opinion, and that's completely ok.
Derpy eyes and crooked nose on Azshara are pretty bad, but they are nothing compared to Sylvanas, who looks like icon for one of those mobile games that are all about shouting guys
A lot of art these days is photoshop, yes. Photoshop is a tool, much like paint and canvas once were.Art is very subjective. Photoshop does not automatically equate bad or easy or lazy. It can require a lot of skill, just of a different type from doing it free hand.
After 19 hours of 3d modeling, 3d printing, wiring, hot glueing I finished my Jaina lithophane light box of Jaina. Already started the other two. Really love the art.
