These look amazing! Going to love playing a hunter in Dragonflight. But does this mean that BM hunters will have exotic pets available at level 10?
Not a fan of the MM tree at all, It's so absurdly expensive and all of our current baseline tools are scattered on different corners, locking us in to pure single target or aoe.To upgrade legacy of the windrunner to it's highest potential it's 5 TALENT POINTS which is ridiculous. This needs more work imo.
Holy moly this looks terrible bad. They just take 90% of baseline abilitys away and put it in the skill tree. Nothing new or exciting, mm hunter plays just like the last 4 years. With the skill tree implementation its such a big opurtinity to be creative but they are just unable to design new cool rotations/ abilities. Very disapointing.
What's the transmog in the picture?Nevermind I figured it out. That's the Trailseeker set from the WoD salvage yard I think.
The tree choices shouldn't have any DPS related skill! Only utilities/defensives, and maybe some playstyle choices. It would help keep the things simpler...The trees are too complicated, and in the end, the players choose the path that do the most DPS based on some website recommendations anyway!
There are specs with new skills, new rotation, new play style… (rogues)An other that is the same of last years, or with less skills (druids, MM)I understand nothing.
i like that they put stapede and barrage on the class tree.it will give us more wide aoe options for the survival hunter. i think
Take things away -> give them back -> ? -> NEW CONTENT!
Special thanks to everyone that complained about talent trees so they could take everything away and give us LESS to work with-Your Local Survival Hunter
I feel that some trees are very bottom-heavy (MM for example) but there are at least some interesting choices. I don't like that, just like it is with other classes, it's still possible to get talents in the way that improve skills that you may NOT have. I mean, you can go and improve Kill Command without getting Kill Command, for example.
I keep hoping they'll get rid of barbed shot and make BM fun again one day, but there it is like the star on the christmas tree lmao.
This is dumb. Why are all the spells I am currently using from my spellbook now on a tree? These are not talents, they are normal given hunter abilities. It feels like I need to untangle a web or connect the dots just to play how I am currently playing.
Coordinated Assault doesn't directly increase damage anymore? Just gives a bleed on Kill Shot? Is that supposed to be Kill Command?
Rogues got like every cov ability, and double vanish and hunters get.. death chakrams? No flayed shot or kyrian arrow?Unless I missed it, but not seeing them. Going down the left side of the base hunter tree also seems pretty meh. Why are we making scare beast a talent? It's a mostly useless ability that adds a small amount of counterplay against certain specs in pvp, and maybe leveling content for pve, but I'm not imaging people actually wasting a point into it. Should just be baseline. Probably the most underwhelming tree so far.
thank god hunter is not and has never been my main. these trees look so terrible. i hope the other trees don't look this bad. yikes
Survival - So the most fun thing Survival has gotten since it went melee(KC resetting bomb for more BRRRR) was turned into a slow burn killshot reduction that now reduces bomb CD if it happens to proc and only by a second or two? Taking away core abilities and making you have to "spec into them while they are locked behind other useless talents? Blizz has really lost touch with how their players want to play the game. FUN FIRST....BALANCE LATER....these are TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.......0/10.BM - The way they spread out BASELINE abilities through the middle/lower parts of the BM tree make it so that if you want the baseline abilities to interact as they do now you have quite a few talents that are going to be left 1/2 or 1/3 just to get the interaction, and the builds don't seem like they do anything optimally. Beast Cleave is also going back down from 100% to 75% of the cleave damage?....great one of our biggest weak points(AOE) just got weaker, not to mention no Wild Spirits to be seen anywhere on the trees at all(i thought we were keeping the fun talents). The amount of points it's going to take to have a balanced tree and give you decent ST and AOE is closer to 40 than 31, if we don't get more points to add through the xpac then this is going to make BM a nightmare build swapping talents every single fight. MM - The baseline talents you need to make MM fun are spread out so far across the tree there is ZERO chance you're going to have an okay ST build along with really good AOE or vice versa.....you really have to go ST or AOE.....or else you completely gimp yourself. Locking essential talents behind Lone Wolf is ridiculous....why even have the talent? Just make it a passive at this point or don't let MM summon pets you obviously don't want them to have them because it's required to take Lone Wolf Anyways so 1 less free point for the MM tree on top of the other essential talents locked behind really wierd abilities that get used very little. Overall - I have been a hunter main since 2007, and NONE of these trees look to bring the fun back into hunter for the upcoming expansion. Blizzard really missed the mark on this data release. I hope to Azeroth that some of the devs read these comments and really think about the amount of points we are going to be given for these talents, or REALLY REALLY consider giving us back some of the baseline abilities to the specs and just filling in those squares with more legendary/covenant effects from the past to help bring the class back to life. I just have to reiterate that imho one of the most fun abilities throughout shadowlands has been Wild Spirits, much like Convoke for Druid I really can't see going on to a new XPAC without having Wild Spirits at my disposal....it's going to feel so freaking bad to have to play without it or at least an ability like it. P.S. I'm so glad that I didn't jump the gun and pre-order Dragonflight yet. If things like this don't change not only for Hunter, but the other classes that having to spend valuable points just to get back baseline abilities that make the class work like it should, then this will be the first xpac I don't play. P.S.S. Blizzard I really hope you are listening to this....if your goal is to give us the initial 31/30 points then as the xpac moves on add more points to that...PLZ DON'T! Some of the classes look like they could be an absolute blast if you up the amount of points to 40/38 or 37/40ish. We are sick and tired of having to wait till the end of an xpac to get everything that makes our classes feel like they should at baseline. FUN > BALANCE and it always will be. Make the classes feel good then come back and balance things. BFA Had a decent storyline and some amazing artwork, the reason people hated on it so much is because the classes just felt like absolute garbage and you had to fix that with corruption at the end.....please do not give us another BFA. Make our classes feel greata at the start of the xpac then balance what you need to balance in a few patches after release. Later raids/patches should be filled with interesting gear/tier sets that add cool mechanics/interactions and make our character feel stronger not adding more points to the trees later(time gates are horrendous as is dont add more to the class trees please).....again as someone who loves this game and wants to see it get back to 10mil+ active subs one day, I beg you to please not be planning on leaving us with the trees in such a horrendous state as to make you have to pick between fun or function. It should be both......it should be both.
Survival tree is absurdly expensive to begin with, but the fact that everything is connected on top of that means you have almost nothing to work with. I know we're meant to make meaningful choices about what to pick and what not, but whether I want to go single-target or aoe it feels like the best I can create is about 75% of an actual build. I have to cut important stuff just to get to ONE capstone, whereas other classes can easily get two.A bunch of talents should have their cost reduced at the very least, there's so many underwhelming 3-point talents that should just be single-point. And if possible, some connections should be cut. Forced "choices" are not fun.EDIT: I just tried Rogue, and I easily created the basis of a clear build and had a couple of points left to grab some QoL talents as well. If that's the intent, Survival WIDELY misses the mark.
