Pigion
it's actually super interesting to see the thought processes that go on behind the scenes into creating these encouters
I wonder if we'll ever see another dungeon boss like the last one in the Oculus...it was very unique and I for one like creative ideas like that.
Old Gods. Great!
gimme that bear
pretty cool stuff to see what we don't normally see.
Since I've played Warcraft 3. I loved the designer's work. It inspires me to make my own maps and dungeons in warcraft 3 editor. Amazing work, and lots of things to learn.
Great panel
Not sure if anyone had raised this before, but why cant blizzard allow guilds to create bosses? imagine a guild can create a castle and put their created boss there while other guilds raid it for loots. That will make wow more dynamic and endlessly engaging. Not to mention taking away some stress on the developers for thinking for what new/engaging things to do in wow.
The written brain storm is great.
nice to have a more in depth look of how are things done :)
It was pretty cool getting a peek behind the curtain on this panel. It's encouraging when they can also lampoon themselves, like jokingly talking about AOE damage when adds die, more soak mechanics, etc.
Love that we get a little peek into the process. Gosh, so jealous. Wish I had an awesome job like they do.
No wonder the game is awesome, with the amount of love that's put into making it. Keep on rocking, guys!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this live on the VT. It made me wonder how many other iconic bosses we've faced that could've had entirely different mechanics and how it would've changed our experience despite the boss looking the same. When they discussed the wave washing players over the edge it reminded me of Obsidian Sanctum where we had to dodge the lava wave through gaps. I was hoping there'd be a similar outcome for this one. One thing I was hoping to see from this panel was possible audience interaction towards the end to see what the players thought.
Kind of fun to see how they brainstorm bosses :)
Would you look at that! I remember that cloak that N'zoth looking cultist (or should I say Kul'Tirist hohohoh) is wearing.;)
Interesting look into the design process. always seemed so simple from the outside.
