Both of the Unholy DK changes appear to be reversions from yesterday's tuning.I don't know why I bother checking these changes. It's not as if the dart has hit the dart board, the dice have stopped tumbling, or the ball has found a number on the spinning roulette wheel.
The second Unholy change is for a runecarving power that... isn't in Dragonflight? Confusion.
I'm sorry, but another guardian nerf? A nerf to the worst tank in the beta on what is probably the only viable build for us. I'm a die hard bear main and have been since I started playing back in mop. This is just ridiculous.
Hopefully the druid Dev sees this. can you please rework Mark of the Wild. 3% vers is cringe and boring. the previous version was so much more interesting. and Feral STILL doesnt have any reason to be brought to a raid. Leader of the Pack is sat as a pvp talent but could very easily be put on the spec tree. nerf it a little and its a perfect party buff that could be very viable as a bringable party ability
Nerf the worst tank in the game when the entire bear community has been waiting patiently for any meaningfull changes, at this point bear is gone in the dumpster thats on fire. Perhaps in the 1.0 or 0.5 patch they'll have an big look at the problems bears face cause there is no shot any meaningfull changes are being applied this close to release perhaps an few bug fixes but guardian needs an entire spec redesign, retuning and polish for it to be called an specialization, what are they're current specialty? perma floor pov outside incarn or being declined in lfg?
These random nerfs/buffs make me convinced that they have zero idea what they are actually doing and what their goals are, it's just random "oh let's tone this down"
Thanks Blizzard.
Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time until they nerfed Moonfire damage; a lot of people saw this coming. They had plenty of opportunity to adjust the tree and plenty of constructive feedback to go off of and chose not to. It's a real shame. Hopefully many more players will complain when they're finally able to play Guardian in its current state when it goes live. The more voices, the better.
Another day, another druid nerf on every single tuning hotfix.
Balancing: When your class hits 70 in appropriate ilvl gear, it should take a solid dps check 6 seconds to kill a regular mob.Count six seconds to yourself. Is your class doing this?Next step. Dungeons should take time to go through, we shouldn't be at wotlk levels of blowing through content. Heroics should take longer, Mythics should take longer than that.Gear scales us up and things should become a lot more comfortable. Raiding happens, the normal raid should be as difficult as Castle Nathria Normal was in Shadowlands for casual players. You get more gear, you clear the fights faster, you have better sustain or health, you can soak more mechanical mistakes, etc.Just from my time on the Beta, and maybe this is coming from playing only 6 classes, but it felt like tuning was crazy. Some specs that were low were actually 'right on the money'. Some specs, like Ret Paladin, felt like we were 30ilvl higher than everyone else. Just blowing things up.Nerf everything, it's fine. We'll work our way back up. Will they sometimes over do it? Yeah. Will they sometimes leave something.. like warlocks.. maybe too strong? Sometimes. But to be fair, that's every game that isn't rock-paper-scissors.Every spec will clear all reasonable content in time given enough gear and skill. That's good enough. Play what feels fun. If your fun was nerfed, play something else... or just play that fun thing anyways and still find success.Sims can kill your dps by 5% by picking the 'fun talents' but in the end, 5% is insignificant. Often the better specs still parse at 50% because players either aren't skilled with that setup or just don't have it in their heart. Sounds like Yugioh or something, but I typically parse 90% and pick talents that 'nerf' me. Just cause I'm having a ton of fun.
Can't wait for beta! I'm excited to try out warrior, priest, and monk!
I can understand nerfing Bear from a tuning perspective. Bear damage is quite strong (not the strongest), but quite strong. What I don't understand is why Bear has the worst designed spec tree of every tank and yet the only changes we get are tuning nerfs instead of change in class tree design. I mained Bear throughout my time in Shadowlands in M+ and some raids (half Bear, half Boomy in raid). Bear was incredibly fun and the dragonflight spec tree looked okay in its first iteration. Not great, but okay. Then the second and current iteration happened, and now it's awful. The problem was Blizzard decided to stop changing after the second iteration and only proceeded to nerf Bear tuning wise while the community proceeded was raging. This is making Bear mains even more irate and most are starting to look for their new tank main. Bear is by far my favorite tank because of the class fantasy and how the tank functions with all the utility. I would really like if the spec tree were reworked to be more like the Balance tree. Being forced into Reinvigoration or Survival of the Fittest to access captstone talents feels REALLY bad, and the fact that you can't move from right to left or left to right easily is a problem for both the spec and class trees. The Balance tree is SOO much better for moving from left to right or vice versa. If that could be applied to the Bear tree and possibly the class tree, that would solve so many issues people are having with the Bear tree. I really don't understand why Bear has had so little work done on the tree design compared to other specializations.TLDR; Please make the Bear tree more like the Balance tree and don't force us to take Reinvigoration/Survival of the Fittest.Thank you for coming to my TED Talk
Not like this would matter at this point. The entire druid class is a testiment of the druid dev(s) negligence and laziness with guardian being the most notable one of all. That spec was abandoned for a while now and its pretty much too late now rectify it. If you were looking to play guardian druid, then have a look at brm monk or vdh. Both of them are well designed, I actually dont know which one I would play, but I know for sure that I will not waste my time on guardian when there are so many better designed tank specs out there.
WHY is there another bear nerf? who at blizzard was hurt by bear tanks? oh my god
Why you hate Bear Blizzard?
