Is it wrong of me to RP walk around the Brewfest grounds on my Brewfest Ram, /yelling "You noobs will never get this!"
Why doesnt Blizzard add the theme music from Brewfest to garrisons?I would love to hear this year round!
Are the trinkets unique equipped as in like can only wear one of those trinkets, or cannot wear the same one?For example, can i wear Thousand-Year Pickled Egg & Mithril Wristwatch
I'm not sure if this has been done, or if anyone would like to use it, but I created some weak auras for the ram race and for when you have the Synthebrew Goggles on. Here is the link: Brewfest!
I'd like to second this... all that brewing stuff in MoP and a no show for Brewfest? need a rework.
you can get approximately 70 tokens for the first time you do all the quests (depending on how well you do the keg delivery daily). after you finish the intro quests, it's about 40 tokens. so.... it's alt time if you want to get all the toys, gear and pets.
I haven't renewed my Brew of the Month membership this year, as I've got new things to buy with the tokens. I did just receive 23 Binary Brew in the mail though. =O
Have they increased the loot chance for the mounts? On my first dungeon I got the kodo, day after I played on an alt and got the ram.I find it a bit too good to be true .. :P
Just an FYI for anyone else having a problem with the ram racing daily. DO THE RAM RACING FIRST EVERY DAY. If you do not do this first, you run the risk of the daily exclamation mark for the ram racing to dissappear. You then will have to wait until the next day to get the exclamation mark to show up again. Good luck on getting your tokens and pets. XD
Nice guide! ThanksIf you are having a hard time with here a macro to Icon the target, find and catch easier the little targets:/tar wild wolpertinger/script SetRaidTargetIcon("target", 6)/use Wolpertinger Net
There is still plenty of time to get quite a full set of lvl 100 loom upgrades (if you have a couple servers populated), so some MLG tips:First, the macro immediately above is missing a line. Before you /script SetRaidTargetIcon("target",6) you should /script SetRaidTargetIcon("target",0) Sometimes, there's only one target within range. Spamming the macro in that case would toggle the raid icon. By setting it to 0, then to 6, spamming the 4-line macro ensures you always have an icon over that lil' bugger. (Import this trick to your standard targeting macro, as well.)If you have multiple toons available for this, go Alliance. I know, I love my Hordies too, but the Ally race is simply better. You get more tokens. Horde gets a straight shot (for the most part) while Ally has a few turns, but the Ally laps are overall shorter. You can average 21 laps--42 tokens--per race on Ally with a little practice. Horde is less that by two laps at best. Horde can still get everything Ally can get, it might just take you an extra day if you're a few tokens short. Ally also has clear turnaround points in the ram race. Horde is left to eyeball everything. Horde gets the short end of the stick this holiday. Avoid that if you have Ally toons available. Ram race is more than half your daily available tokens. Don't shoot yourself in the foot.Don't bother leveling low alts w/ this holiday. While the XP is there, you get far more returns on your 100s for the time you put in. Use that time & those tokens for those lvl 100 loom upgrades. You'll be glad you did. This frees up gold for more important things, like pets & transmog. ^^ Leave your neglected lowbies to level via Darkmoon or random dungeons.Race w/ your backpack open. Many players continue running toward the barrel thrower, or past him, more than necessary. You may not see the animation until nearly halfway back to the drop-off point, but once the barrel is in your backpack, it's safe to head back. It's pretty immediate. Using this will give you a huge advantage over other racers. They'll all be eating your dust. Plus, seeing your toon catch the barrel halfway back to the drop-off point is entertaining. On Ally: ignore the apples at each end of the lap. You should only be picking up the 2 barrels in the center. On Horde: ignore apples past the barrel thrower. The apples at the beginning of each lap happen to be the closest run toward the drop-off, so you'll get those by default. When barking: gallop is fast, but at an unbelievable cost. Walk is useless. You should be cantering (yellow) dropping to a trot (blue) when your ram fatigue hits ~90. You should only have to drop to a trot once regardless of faction, and only as you near the end of your barking route. Kick back up to a canter at 70/80 or so and you should hit all 4 bark points in less than half the time needed. Then right-click to cancel your ram & fly back. While cantering (yellow) whip your ram every 2 points your fatigue goes up. This will keep you in a constant canter. While trotting (blue) whip your ram every time your fatigue goes down. This will keep you in a constant trot. And finally, if you're unsure whether or not you have the best route for the race, WALK IT. And I mean, WITHOUT the ram. Watch shortcuts other players are taking. Watch where they turn around. Don't follow the majority, because most people mess this up. Look for the guys cutting things super short, barreling between the narrow spaces, and hauling back the other way. That's probably something you want to add to your route. I won't give my routes, because building your own route for the race is the only non-mindless aspect of this holiday. Build your own & have fun w/ it. Look for ways to improve it constantly. Everything else about this holiday strives to make you a zombie. Don't be a zombie.P.S. Don't smack your ram like you're wanking, please. It only needs a smack every 1.5 seconds or so. For those stuck running beside you as you mash your special key constantly off CD, it's totally annoying. Get a nice rhythm & stick w/ that. You'll save other players a headache. You might even save yourself one.
I think I have some kind of curse. I've killed Coren Direbrew with 11 toons three times each for two days. Only loot that's dropped has been one of the stamina trinkets.
Did anyone from EU servers manage to get the pink elekk quest? Goldark Snipehunter gives goggles but no quests whatsoever on EU servers afaik. There really seem to be way too few ways to get tokensEdit: both Pink Elekk / Wolpertinger quests unavailable in EU due to restriction (some countries don't like virtual alcohol).I guess that means EU players start with a 40 tokens disadvantage (well, 240 if you count the pet you have to buy and not getting from a quest). GJ Blizzard, way to go
? HOW MANY BREWFEST TOKENS CAN YOU GET EACH DAY ?Once the initial quests are out of the way (which can all be done on the first day of the festival), you can get an additional 65-70 tokens per day of the festival....here's how:Take down Coren Direbrew.(10-15 tokens)Simply entering Blackrock Depths won't work. When you get to the pup he won't be there. You have to use Dungeon Finder. Under "type" he shows up "as a dungeon". Once your party is formed you'll teleport straight to the pup where he is. Walk up to him and initiate dialogue, select "Insult Coren Direbrew" Then select "Fight". He and his buddies will agro, then burn him. Once he's down he will drop one trinket that must be rolled for amongst the group. However, EVERYONE will receive "Keg Shaped Treasure Chest" which can contain mounts but 99 times out 100 it will contain 10-15 tokens.Bark For A Brewery (15 Tokens)Shows up as a daily from two different NPC's. Choose one (you can't do both but it doesn't matter which one you pick). Ride your ram past 4 different banners within the 3 minutes then turn in to the same NPC when complete. This One Time When I was Drunk (10 tokens)Every 30 minutes at the top and bottom of every hour, the mole machines will show up. Protect the 3 big kegs by tossing beer mugs at the dwarves that emerge. If successful, after about 5 minutes of mug tossing, the machines will go away and leave a pile of gears that can be clicked on to "start" a quest which can be immediately turned in nearby for 10 tokens.Ram Riding (up to 30 tokens if you do it right)Pick up this daily from Ram Master Ray (horde) or Niell Ramstein (alliance). Once started, pace your ram appropriately and make sure you ride over BOTH apple barrels in BOTH directions picking up and delivering kegs. Each time you deliver a keg you get 2 tokens and a small time bonus added to your ram. If you do it right you can get about 30 tokens out of this. Once the timer runs out, you automatically get dismounted from the ram and can not attempt it again until the next day.SO, again, once the initial quests are out of the way you can get 65-70 tokens each day of the festival:10-15 from Coren Direbrew15for placing banners10 for defeating the mole machines30 for delivering kegsHope this helps.~Mark
