I want to hear more about the lore going into the next expansion so bad but none of the Blizzard team want to give any details away! Fingers AND toes crossed that I can get a Beta key again this expansion!
The names in that transcript are the wrong way round. Relating the the video, Chris is on the left and Steve is on the right. It doesn't help when the interviewer asks Chris a question and Steve answers, almost certainly the reason for the mixup, but yeah, the art director is not going to be the one answering questions about game systems.
Drinking game: take a shot every time a developer responds, "That's a great question." Also: "We learned a lot of lessons."Additionally, on many issues I feel like they didn't sit down as a team and try to have a semblance of uniformity. Like, I don't know when this interview took place, but it was answered somewhere during day one in a tweet that Antorus would be opening in November. Whether that was day one, two, or the day after the event, to flat out say no, especially on such a big chunk of hallmark content, seems... weird.
2 helms with different abilities selected? Ugh. Slippery slope back to having bags full of gear
Weird answers...
The points about allied races and their class fantasies make me really hopeful for seeing more combos on the already announced races. Would love to see nightborne druids.
World quests definitely keep me coming back to areas I have already completed.
The questions in this interview were some of the best I've seen from Blizzcon yet it had the least amount of information. Steve especially was speaking so generally in his answers that sitting there in silence would have given us the same result. At least Chris has done this long enough to know that even when he can't specifically answer a question, he at least tries to give some information or insight.
low production interview. low energy, interviewer is intentionally off camera, big branding mistake. fails at small talk.
