Wow…if they write that garbage where Anduin abdicates it will be the cherry on top of that trash heap SL story writing has been. I’d rather see him take his break and come back when he’s ready instead of going all emo and full of self putty bull crap.
Wow. Just no.
Good riddance. Anduin is the worst thing that ever happened to WoW.
That could be the beginning of the setup for the light invasion story that people have been predicting. While Anduin is away, Turalyon goes full of tyrannical dictator mode. That draws Anduin back. He tells Turalyon, "Hey, you're being a *!@#. I'm taking my throne back." Then Turalyon is like, "No! You were all tainted by dark magic and stuff. This is my throne. I already got my name engraved on it, and everything." Then there's a big battle where Anduin wins, and gets the throne back. This leads Turalyon to team up with Y'rel, and try to take over Azeroth in the name of the light.
I hope Turalyon leads the alliance crazy evil like light extremists then Enlists the scarlet crusade and we have a proper medieval expansion taking them down and liberating stormwind from tyranny <3
We shoulda just killed him in sepulcher, but this works
Anduin always felt unworthy about being king, so Im pretty sure he will take the corruption excuse to bow out.
We've only fully killed 2 old Gods. C'Thun and Yogg'Saron are still alive, just subdued. The reason for their imprisonment was because killing them normally would destroy Azeroth.
If pretty freaking obvious that they're retreating Anduin ONLY so they can allow Turalyon to mess up the Alliance just like Garrosh and Sylvanas did, so that they're perceived as the bad faction for a change. On one hand, it's good for the Horde to not be the punching bag all the time. On the other hand, it wouldn't be much better overall writing either.I'm predicting Turalyon is go try to push the Light hardcore on Stormwind, to try to create zealots of the Light, and later if/when Yrel comes to Azeroth from AU Draenor with her Army of the Light (featuring some Lightforged orcs), she's be received as allied by Turalyon.
That's a yikes from me. It's not at all what Anduin's character is like. Yes, he feels the crown can be a huge burden, but he genuinely loves his people and always tries his hardest to make sure they're okay. To disregard that sense of duty that he has is just... Horrible and not him at all. Taking a step back for one patch or two, sure. Abdicating entirely? No way.
The only role I want anduin to fill is to step into his father's footsteps, old Wrynn turned out to be fairly decent fireworks after all.And f*** lore, I want Greymane to put the alliance up to a war against the horde, so we get our final shot at that intriguer and Sylvanas can take good boy for a walk in the maw.
I actually appreciate Anduin taking a step back, he has been through some %^&*, he was already fraying in BFA, and really life hasn't been great to him, it actually makes sense he calls it quits. Now, if they have him simpin for Sylvie I don't know how I feel about that. But I am really very into seeing the Light come forward as a not-so-friendly cosmic force, and see that whisper fulfilled in the obvious way it's been setup.
If Anduin decides to spend more time in hell, essentially, with the woman who imprisoned him there and mind controlled him, then fine. Take the throne Turalyon. Anduin is clearly suffering from Stockholm syndrome(Or let's be real, the writers are doing this to the character for whatever reason). Wouldnt it be much better for him mentally and physically to go back to the familiar faces that he hasnt seen for over a year now?
Anduin, herald of the void!
