Hmmm... maybe Beguiling is added minibosses in dungeons.
Hope there is some variability to the emissaries that beguiling brings. I need something much more interesting than reaping to get me to run another waycrest/king's rest etc.
New affix basically = more mobs? :D
I almost had a mini-heart attack when I misread "Begulling", thinking they were bringing back the pre-nerf gulls from EoA.
Reaping is the most fun affix so far
For some reason I read that the affix was Bellular gaming. I was very confused for 3-4 seconds.
Beguiling seems more annoying than anything if its just a pulsating AoE. Greivous? Good luck. Bolstering? Forced to ST down a mob and get stacks on targets you don't want. If its a random trigger on mobs its worse. If specific mobs have it like infested, its not as bad.
Actually, I think the new Beguiling Affix comes in two parts!First of all, these "Emissaries" are "Images of Azshara" - there's a good chance they are either static or can even spawn dynamically (while fighting a pack) throughout the dungeon. These Images of Azshara will place the first component of the "Queen's Gift" on a mob: this gives it a 10-second Channel where it heals for 5% of its Maximum Health, per second. Also, it gains "Add Creature Immunity (?) (Asleep, Gripped, Disarmed, Disoriented, Snared, Slowed)", meaning it's harder to preemptively CC this target beforehand (hence why I think it's dynamic). After the 10-second Channel is over, it will then gain the second component of the "Queen's Gift", which will be the 1-second pulsating Arcane damage, which will continue until death. It also gains "Apply Aura: Mod Increase Maximum Health - % Value: 100%", meaning it will have up to double its original HP depending on how much you focused it down. It will also likely be able to return to casting all its native abilities too during this.Due to this, I personally believe that these "Images of Azshara" can pop up while you're fighting the trash, including mid-pull, and begin the process of buffing a mob. This means that even when a mob is on low health, they can still become a threat when they suddenly start healing. You're then rewarded for focusing it down, by either possibly killing it before it finished the channel, or having much less "bonus health" to deal with once it starts pulsing. Now the only things I'm unsure of is if you're able to interrupt this channel, or even spell-steal the buff as a Mage. I'm guessing no, as it would completely mitigate the affix. Of course, this is just further speculation - but from what we've heard about Blizzard wanting a Single-Target oriented affix, it plays even further into that line of thinking.
