The more they evolve talbuks the more they seem to head away from "sleek, unique-looking creature" and towards "muscled horse with horns". Sigh.
Argus > Outland > Draenor. Those ugly My Little Pony rejects from Draenor are just not appealing at all. Gritty, alien ungulates are awesome. I'm sad that there's no black Argus Talbuk, since I loved the original Black War Talbuk. I'll definitely be using that Beryl one, the green is quite unique.
Ouch. 10k per mount. I hope they lower the price of each mount to 5k.
Eh. I prefer WoD talbuks to BC talbukcs. 'Cause they's floofy.
Woah even more talbuk mounts. That's original. It's basically third expansion with talbuk mounts. I hope Blizzard will make whole talbuk themed expansion. That would be great.
I would much prefer the unused infernal skins. Yet, over 20 new mounts with half being original sounds good to me. These talbuk are probably the last to ever be released, so I'm fine with that as well, but at least they look great. Although, 10k each for a rep mount is still steep. In comparison to other items, its not at all, but realistically, they will just be fuel for higher collection totals.
#NotMyTalbuk. Update the quality of the textures of the BC talbuks. They were the bomb.
New talbuks are a walking animal cruelty case. The WoD ones had cruelty issues because the back legs become disjointed if they walk, but the Legion ones have plates on the back. The plates are partially raised and they put a saddle on it. If you put a 300 lbs warrior on that saddle, the plate would snap causing massive pain for the animal. Only option then is to surgically remove the plate which would cause its own issues. Then the saddle is so big (or the talbuk has such a short chest) that the saddle sits more on the rump than on the back. Tail base is also WAY too thick. Is it a talbuk or the spawn of a crocolisk that bred with a talbuk? Also can't say I'm a fan of the "horseshoes" and forelock booties. They look stupid and restrictive.Find it hilarious how Blizzard fails continuously on where they put the saddle girth, and with this mount, they conveniently cover the girth with a piece of cloth. Also find it hilarious that the one color Blizzard hasn't redone with either the WoD or Legion talbuks is white. They added colors like red, but white is the one they haven't redone. Guess they don't want to touch the whole blue horns fiasco. Personally, I hated the blue horns so never used the white war talbuk but you can bet if they redid white, someone's going to beg for a blue horn version, too.I'll keep to the TBC talbuk. As dated as it is now, at least it doesn't suffer from fluffy tails that bounce too high above the back when it runs and legs that pop out of joint or have back plates that can break as soon as a rider jumps on.Couldn't Blizzard have just done a higher res model of the TBC talbuk? The WoD and Legion ones are just downright terrible. I liked the gazelle look of the originals. The new ones don't even look like the same species. They're about as alike as a giraffe is to an okapi or a llama is to a camel.
ITZ LOOK LIKE SHIET
I love the new models. I always liked the talbuks.
I prefer the original TBC talbulks myself, too. Although for me the Argus talbuks are still better than the WoD ones. I could not even ride the latter due to their tails being a single mass of glued together hair waving in the player's face.
To be honest, no matter which model people prefer, there are so many talbuks it's good they are a bit different at least :)
Every little school girl needs a pony.
