Heading north from the Tourney grounds, Alliance ship is to the right of the ghost looking (Kvaldir) main ship, and Horde's to the left.

Enemies raid (and respawn very quickly) onto your factions ship, stay to the sides if you want to single target or jump right into the fray to get your kills.

Seems to be tricky to make your escape after wards, either try to hang by the edges of the ship (very tip or rear) to get out of combat to fly away.

Few tips for fellow Shaman's, this is a great place to let your Fire Elemental stretch it's legs (or arms, it seems) and to get away, water walking and ghost wolf away till your out of combat.

I found that the best way to get out was to get to the front of the ship, kill anything that followed me, then hop down and climb up onto the ramming spike. Eventually (once anything that still had aggro on me either reached me or died to the NPC defenders), I got out of combat and was able to fly off.

Another option, if you have a handy alchemist, is to get a bunch of Elixir of Water Walking. That way, you can just jump off the boat, chug the potion, run till you're out of combat, and fly off. (Obviously, shamans, DKs, and priests don't need the potion.)

stand on their boats that they board from once your done. they spawn on their boats and jump over and cant jump back. so they either evade bug and reset or get killed by someone/thing else

just in case anyone else is as stupid as i was.. this quest is significantly easier if you don't fight on the horde ship.

Well the rest of the new dailies added in the 3.2 patch are as dangerous as a round of golf. But this almost gets my hunter killed every time. I have yet to figure out why it seems so much harder. I have had to use feign death and readiness (to use feign death again) and finally jump overboard to survive. I normally have to switch to aspect of viper, after I use all my mana with shots & snake/immolation traps.

Seems they fixed this quest in 3.0. I just did it and there seemed to be fewer of of those guys on the ship at a time, and the marines on board were kicking some serious -bleep-, indeed, they even stole 1 or 2 of them. I was even able to fly off the deck for once.

if u are a drood, just jump into the water and swim away to lose combat. after that, float on water, jump and press fly form same time, ive its done right, you will be flying away to escape and dont have to wait and be lucky to lose aggro

Annoying quest on a high population server.
Takes about ten minutes of fighting with other people who are tagging the mobs.
Then there are the groups who wont invite you, or the people who wont group to do it.
Then half the time when you are done you have to swim for a good way out before you can get out of combat.

With 3.3.3, the spawn speed for the Kvaldir appears to be much slower, at least on Cenarious (Alliance boat).

Right now they're spawning at 1 or 2 a minute, as opposed to 1 or 2 every 5 seconds.

I miss the old spawns.

:edit: According to Tehzeeb a couple posts down, this has been fixed with 3.3.3a

I think you mean 3.3.3 for the patch version, Norbby. 3.3.5 will be the Ruby Sanctum patch.

Anyway. Bless the Blues! It seems that 3.3.3 was a little buggy, and they knew that there was a problem with respawn timings. Patch 3.3.3a has been released this morning. Respawn times appear to have been corrected, though I only personally know from farming Venture Co. Evacuees.

People were also complaining about the impossibility of completing Cheese for Glowergold . I assume that quest is now fixed, though I haven't tried it myself.

The Coords are 50.88, 49.52. This is the boat for the Alliance. The Horde boat is a little further West. have fun. Quest is easy enough for one.

[Champion, Captain Wavecrest and her ship were sent north to disrupt the Kvaldir in Hrothgar's Landing when they were intercepted by a Kvaldir raiding party headed to the Tournament Grounds. Unfortunately, the Kvaldir far outnumber the crew on board and are slowly taking over the ship.

We need you to go north to The Wavecrest in The Sea Reaver's Run, between the Tournament Grounds and Hrothgar's Landing and help the crew fend off the attack. You should see the ship on the east side of the pass.]
