A nice two hander for early levels, although of course more powerful swords are available for twinks. If you can get someone to run you through the Battle of Hillsbrad quests you can get a far more powerful sword at lvl 19! But if you're on your own, this one does the job well.

Zwei means two in German, so this sword would be a "Polished Two-hander".... I wonder what the name of it is in the German version of the game

"Zweihander" does indeed mean a two-handed sword, but it's also the name of a specific type of two-handed sword, that was primarily used in Germany (funnily enough).

the name of this sword in the german version is "polierter bidenhänder" which means literally translated polished both-hander.

Its rather typical for 2 hander of its level stat wise, but it sure looks cool. I had people asking me what it is all the time when I had one.

I rather like the "of Agility" for 2 handed weapons since a big agility boost dramaticly improves your dodge(really important with no shield) and your critical strike. A critical from a 2 handed weapon will FUBAR an opponent of similar level that can't heal their self.

Weird... the unpolished version of this weapon, https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/item=2529 is stronger. don't clean your weapons.

this weapon has helped me out until i turned 23.. My highest crit strike with this is 186 so

I got this from a Mosh'Ogg ogre who no longer needed it, does excellent dps and has +6 to spirit and agi. It's now my favorite weapon for my 29 hunter but may be better suited to a pally with those stats.
