The only reason to keep this in your bag is if the Bloodpetal Pests attack you whilst running through Marshal's Refuge and you can't kill them on your own.

Personally, I'd rather save a bag spot and just attack the little guys or run a bit so they drop aggro.

Useless quest reward, it only kills the easily-avoided Bloodpetal Pests in the refuge, not the various fully grown Bloodpetals out in the crater. I'd much rather Larion just keep the darn thing and keep the pests constantly exterminated so they're gone when I fly into the refuge or return from questing.

Good xp from the quest though, about 8000 at 53 just from turning in the two parts (5 Atal'ai Haze, then 1 Bloodpetal Sprout). That's not including the xp for killing the mobs in ST.

These pests are not even difficult....
Unless you are near dead when goin up there ...
I guess this is another quest I will pretty much ignore... so talk about worthless ..

If not for the large amount of xp and little bit of gold this quest rewards, it would be totally useless. As it is, if you're planning a quest run of ST, it couldn't hurt to run over and grab this quest before you head off.

Thats the refference from Super Mario as he and Luigi would always go down/up in pipes. Its just that one of them seems to be the evil one in this case.

Apparently "Lario" and "Muigi" wasn't distinguished enough from the originals for Nintendo's liking, so they added an "n" to the end of both names.

Cute but virtually useless. It only kills the few that are annoying Larion in Marshall's Refuge. I thought it might kill the bigger ones out in the crater but it kept saying "invalid target" so I guess not. Ah well.

The quest reward is useless...its a fun quest to do up to the dungeon part.

Even more after 2.3, the only good thing on it its the XP.

What that zapper is for ? lol... i tried use it on flowers at ungoro, it's not working...

Haven't figured out what if anything you do with the zapper other than get rid of the pest's in the immediate area.

Wonder if Bliz plans on doing anything else with it?

Im pretty sure the end to this quest is meant to be funny, not rewarding. Theres a competition between mario and luigi (muigin and larion). I believe finishing the alliance quest spawns the the little pests, or they spawn randomly, and this gadget kills them.

I think the bloodpetal zapper is just be another allusion towards Nintendo's stuff--The Zapper. There are several Legend of Zelda references there and this quest line is all about Mario and Luigi if you're somehow still unaware.

Humor? Very odd concept - I'm just here to kill things... (nothing to laugh about). In any case, once completed, this quest just gives 5000 XP and a quest zapper that only seems useful for killing these midget plants. Anyone found any other uses?

This quest has a prereq, Zapper Fuel, which is a Sunken Temple quest. Zapper Fuel Zapper Fuel has two prereqs in UnGoro that start with Larion or Muingin. Aside from the comedic value, this quest line is time consuming and provides very little reward.

If you have trouble finding a Bloodpetal Sprout when you need it (as for this quest), dial your Graphic Quality down to 1 (Main Menu - System - Graphics) - and they are easily visible.

For the zapper to work, it needs a sample of the target creature. Head out into the crater and collect a Bloodpetal sprout. Then I can calibrate it to work on Muigin's little friends...

If he weren't so stubborn, we could be on our way home, already... But until then, I'll just have to show him that his little prank doesn't bother me at all!
