The quest reward is one of very good weapons. But first you need to complete the chain quests until you will be able to choose one of the rewards. You will also get an achievement (https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/achievement=4596) for finishing this quest.

After this, I can only ask... WHY?

There is a Spellpower sword for casters, there is a DPS sword for DW DK, Rogues and Hunters who prefer DW to 2-handed, there are 2 two-handed swords for DK, Retribution, Warriors, and the such....

WHY THE HELL THERE IS NOT A TANK SWORD? Seriously, what do Blizzard has against tanks regarding cool items or lore items? Last one we got was ThunderFury and was only useful for tanks because of its proc. It was an aggro sword, rather than a defense sword, but since then... Quel'Serrar is the only one in TWO FREAKING EXPANSIONS and there is no effort in getting it, just drop from a raid boss.

Kind of a crazy idea, but i'm actualy wondering if we will be able to repeat this entire questline :P
The weapons dont seem to be unique and for a fury warrior it might be epic to dualwield them.

They dont need 2 two handed Quels!

it seems fairly obvious that ones for melee dps and the other is for hunters.
I was going to pretend to care and whine over the fact that tanking druids got left out too.

i think whats important to note here is that if you got this and your tank, you can already tank icc, meaning you probably already have a suitable weapon.

Quit complaining, go get your bad ass two hander, and go wreck face in pvp.

I wonder if you will be able to get the weapon back somehow if you lose. Or if you want to trade it in for another.

Because this weapon is very important with lots of lore and stuff, I'd hate to lose it someday either to a bug or some noob moment :(

I believe that you can obtain this through a random drop from Citadel 5 Man instances, Battered Hilt. I just got the item tonight and plan on working on the chain asap.

This quest is definately NOT repeatable. For one thing it would be a bit silly to have two legendary swords drenched in lore about how its unique and all powerful etc etc.

No tanking sword? did you all forget about the sister/brother sword of the Quel'Delar?
that all wonderful AND UPGRADED Quel'Serrar*! (tanking sword that's been in the game since vanilla)

and i know this is a repost of what the same information. but people are not all that bright!

If it wasnt repeatable, then why on earth do the quick facts on all the quests say "repeatable"?

if i may add in my opinion, yes tanks did get left out of a tanking weapon cause blizzard hates tanks : P

but back to what i was gonna say people talking about the Burnished Quel'Serrar or Gleaming Quel'Serrar they are decent tanking swords. however there are much better and easier to get tanking weapons such as Legacy of Thunder which is one of the best tanking weapons out atm the only weapons that are better are (in order) Sorthalis, Hammer of the Watchers, Bonebreaker Scepter, and last but not least Silverwing Defender so before you go out and get worried about the quel serrar check into these weapons

In my opinion, the tanks should be glad there is no tank version. It's 10k on Al'Akir EU.

I just got Quel'Delar, Might of the Faithful the other day and I'm so happy lol. I'd been using the sword from 10man Ony on my dk and it put my dps up over a thousand so I've got an average dps of 4k now! These quests were so easy, and the rewards are oh so sweet
