Located at the SW base of Aldur'thar (under the 'A' on the in-game map). The cauldrons will award a 2 hour buff depending upon into which one you throw the mass.

Cyan / Light-Blue :: +100 attack power
Green :: +75 stam
Dark Blue (Purple):: +60 spell power

In order to complete this quest.

Head towards 49,33

Start off with right clicking the quest item, which allows you to farm the items,
that are needed for the quest.

Then you need to kill 10 of the "Cult of the Damned" people,
Who most likely will drop " " (100% drop rate)
And when you have them, you can turn them into a Writhing Mass.
Which you then throw into one of the cauldrons.

Blue/Grey: Attack Power
Green: Stamina
Dark: Spell Power

I'd like to add that you can have more than one of these buffs at the same time.

-Travel to 49,33.

-Use the given quest item to gian a 10 minute buff.

-Kill the mobs around the cauldrons until you have gathered 10 Tainted Essences

-Turn the Tainted Essences into a Withering Mass

-Throw the Withering Mass into any of the 3 cauldrons, they each give a different buff mentioned by others.

Like the last part of the chain, the name of this quest is another Quality Assurance in-joke. As is the Bow of Regression - Regression being where a bug is reintroduced after being fixed.

This should do the trick!

Those twisted hooligans are looking for souls to put in their crazy-juice? Then I say we help 'em out a bit!

Take a swig of this - don't worry, I've diluted it plenty... Its only effect will be to detect any cultist's essence once you've defeated them.

When you've collected a bunch of essences, throw the writhing mass of twisted souls into any of their cauldrons.

Let's see how they like a taste of their own medicine!
