Go South, and click on the gun at the front of the plane.
Wait as the plane flies to the town.
When there, shoot at the canon like things on the ground to stop them from firing back.
The blast "stuns" the canons, so you do not take damage.

Very easy Quest, if you fail the first time and get 3/4, doing it once more will mean you will get 4/4 on the first drop off.
So, you can get 1 drop off from before you get hit , fail, and do this 4 times for the quest.

Make sure there are infiltrators in the plane before you go. I did a run and noticed there were none in the plane so I had to do it again. And today I noticed the plane was empty before I jumped in. Must be bugged. Just jump out and wait for it respawn.

Once again, the actionbar-addon Dominos causes a vehicle quest to bug. I could fire the cannon just fine, it showed the animation and the smoke cloud where it landed, but every time I started the flight, the plane crashed just after the first soldier had been dropped out. When I did it with Dominos disabled, I came through just fine, with 35% health at the landing. So, if you have problems, try disabling your ui addons.

This is what i call a "to-be-perfected-quest".

Go to 59.46. and unmount if you´re mounted. Click on the cannon to get the "mount" image. When you start flying you will have time to feel the aim before nuking the cannons at enemy base that will fire at you. The troopers will be dropped off automaticly so your only job is to fly as long as you can without getting shot down.

No problem if you fail, just go back to coords and remount, The rest of the troopers will be dropped off as soon as you enter enemy base.

When i first got in the Plane my "Suppression Charges" weren't doing anything, and would fade away after 5 yards.
(they also cost 0 energy). Causing my to drop off 1 soldier then fail.

A relog sorted that out. So if anyone faces this error.

super easy if you make sure there are 4 on your plane before u go, i failed the first time because i left with no jumpers and didn't realize i needed any.

remember that if you fail, and lets say you do 3/4 the first time, and then you get your 4th dropped off, dont wait for the rest, just 'leave vehicle' and you can go fly down and turn it in.

If you played warcraft strategy games..the canon works liks the clouds of that human air unit. They cover the guns so they can't see anything and put them out of order that way.

The gun works with an energy like mechanism as rogues. So don't spam it but try to hit each canon once. Try to hit them far away the could stay quite long. Later in the flight some canons are somewhat harder to see on top of buildings and balconys but i was done witht he quest when it got more difficult to smoke all canons.^^ btw did it on the very first try:P Didn't seem to hard the airplane can take quite a few hits.

Like most other air vehicles, this is supposed to parachute you safely to the ground if it does die or break (so that you don't). But also like most other air vehicles, it will bug occasionally and send you hurtling to your likely inevitable demise without a parachute. This has happened about once in every ten goes for me though, so it's not too often, and once Blizz patches one it'll probably make them all work. Hopefully.

If you ask me no point in bothering with this quest, the cannon won't even aim towards enemy cannons, it'll never give u a chance to shoot a cannon. Stupid vehicle systems are pathetic....aiming is messed up

I flew over 3 times (abandoning and retaking quest inbetween) and the guys were always in my plane but never jumped out. I guess it's bugged.

If you spam the fire rocket button when you're low on energy, it'll shoot 1 instead of 2.

#BEST WAY TO DO THIS QUEST#

STEP 1 - Mount your flying mount # The reason for this is so if you fail and the plain chrashes you dont fall and die you can just simply fly away!
STEP 2 - Mount the plane at 59.0, 46.0
STEP 3 - Wait for the plane to arrive in the destination
STEP 4 - Click on all the spear launchers you see and hit '1' on your keyboard
STEP 5 - Hand in quest once auto-matically returned

Better get out of the plane after 2 drops!
The plane have 3 Infiltrator, then you need 2 trips in every case. Shot to the cannons, when the second infiltrator is dropped, get immediatly out, if you have done this immediatly after the drop you reach a secure place. Fly to the plane again and re-do the same thing. Very faster in this manner!

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but the quest seems to be bugged recently. Right after dropping the 3rd infiltrator, as I went past one of the Vrykul houses with a spear gun, I got shot down and WoW crashed. The first time wasn't so bad as when I logged back on it gave me a parachute. Second time though it happened in the exact same spot, and this time it didn't give me a parachute. Just dropped me and I died. F'n lovely Blizz, f'n lovely.

So yeah, maybe what Mr. KaotikPaladin says there is a good idea, get out after the second because it seems the quest is glitched.

On a side note, if you hit the dismount vehicle button by accident, you can mount on a flying mount, get close to the plane, and remount the turret the same way you got on the first time... assuming it survived the harpoon onslaught it took in your absence

This quest is bugged to hell! I just finished flying, didn't get shot down, and my plane didn't drop a single infiltrator. I refuse to do this quest again.

Supposed to be fun and easy, ends up being tenuous and bugged, for one the cannons don't always stop firing or have a delayed reaction to the rocket, also if you're too far away *like an inch from their firing range* it won't register the hit.

That and the infiltrator bug means you're going to be running this at least twice.

It may also be helpful to note that even if you do nothing at all, you'll drop off one troop (unless it is bugged as it so often is) so it's still a pretty easy quest. Four flights for 13 gold and +250 rep? Not bad.

Pretty fun arcade type quest just like 'Shoot em Up'. Right click and drag to aim. I pumped about two bombs per cannon to make sure I had enough energy for all the cannons that appeared. Agree with some of the bug comments as I got shot down with no parachute. Or maybe it's just that is part of the quest...don't get shot down.

I just did two runs for this quest and I got shot down both times (still complete tho) but when I got shot down, tehre was no parachute. This happen to anyone else? I don't like getting shot down and dying from the fall.

Anyone having problems with delayed reaction time on the smoke bombs? Seems like by the time the cannon is stunned it has already managed to get a shot off.

This is a case of needing to be able to do two things at the same time, therefore; make sure you are aiming with your mouse and then using the '1' button to fire.

the quest cannot be completed on about 3 guns, it helped me to exit the character menu and go in to get into the normal phase with the NPC

UPD: I don’t know if it helped or just lucky that it didn’t disconnect for the entire span from start to finish, I turned off “Optimize connection speed” in the connection settings and also turned off vertical synchronization at 100 fps.

UPD2: On another quest, where you also need to fly and use abilities Fringe Science Benefits Assault by Air crashes despite the means that I used above, but it crashed later than without it

Alright scrub, I've got something to keep you from being a complete waste.

A unit of highly trained infiltrators is ready to be dropped inside of Ymirheim. The vrykul inside have automated spear guns that have been ripping our transports to shreds, so we had the engineers on Orgrim's Hammer whip us up a suppression turret.

You're the gunner. Launch rounds at their spear guns to obscure their vision and clog their gears. See to it that my men all make their drops and the transport stays in one piece.
