The brazier is just behind the end boss down the hall he is seemingly gaurding when you engage.

The corpse has a 1 hour duration so basicly you need to complete the instance in an hour to complete the quest.

One player can run up and use Ahn'kahar Watcher's Corpse when you start the fight if you are running low on time.

Just discovered today that you can run around behind the boss (even on heroic) without aggroing him. Whole party did it, and successfully completed the quest.

other than a wee bit of money, is there any actual reason you'd want to do this specifically? as opposed to picking it up on yuor way in to the zone?

Pretty tough quest right now. One way to make it easier - skip the 2nd and 3rd boss and save them for later. After doing the quest, you can go back and kill them.

Also, you can complete the quest without engaging the last boss. So really, it's not a hard quest if you know how to get around it.

it can be completed easily with quest/ rep blues by players who know what their classes enough to pull at least 2200 dps. unfortunately, there really is no reason other than a little bit of gold to do it. i suppose it makes a decent supplement to your income if this instance is in your daily heroic gear list.

i just did this Q, i found that when we wiped and you run back in the clock resets on the corpse, the exception is when you run out of the instance to repair, run back in and you will no longer have the corpse.

If you wipe, the debuff resets to 60 minutes, however the corpse-item stays at what real time is left.. Don't let this fool you.

However, I can confirm that, after you kill the 3 Forgotten Ones, you can walk around the boss (hug the wall) and go up to the brazier and complete the quest.
Also, to save time, you can skip the Mushroom Boss and the Floating Sacrificing Boss (I'm so lousy with names), in order to complete this quest.

If a stealther gets the item somehow, can he stealth all the way to the end without a problem?

Just gave this a shot, and without killing Prince Taldaram you can not stealth to the end. There is a web wall in front of the tunnel leading down.

If you clear a path through the trash and Prince Taldaram, you can have your group wait at the entrance until the Watchers respawn, kill and loot them and quickly walk to the brazier at the end before the rest of the dungeon respawns. Burned the corpse with 57 minutes left on the timer.

You only get one chance per day on this quest even if the mobs respawns. They respawned for us and I ran back (the group had wiped and I FD'd) when I go there they just died without us killing them meaning we couldn't loot them.

you can try finding the perfect party for this quest, Feral Druid tank, Resto Druid and 3 rogues... Sneak, kill the boss you need to kill in order to open the door, sneak do the quest and then finish the instance ^.^

No longer doable :< in 3.0.9 patch blizz fixed the way right up to the "altar" or something. Tried today, no more easy money :<

Be aware than since 3.2 you will lose the Ahn'kahat Watcher's Corpse if you release your corpse (dying or wiping). If you should wipe, let a person able to res you run back so only he has to lose it.

I did H Old Kingdom today on my resto shaman. We skipped mostly everything and killed the last boss when I realized two things: I had looted the corpse quest item but had forgotten to get the quest. I logged onto my paladin on a separate account, grabbed the daily quest, invited my paladin, and my paladin was able to share the quest from outside the dungeon with my shaman, who was inside, sitting at the brazier.

I didn't want to zone out because I was pretty sure I would lose the corpse on my shaman.

These days I always run Old Kingdom as a daily heroic random, and thus never pass by Kilix to enter the instance. Completing this quest is free gold, though, so I've gotten in the habit of swinging by Azjol-Nerub to pick it up, just so I have it in my log. It's a bit of a hassle, I suppose, since I also have to fly back to turn it in, but when I do get OK as my random, it's usually with this as a nice bonus. Your groupmates will appreciate it, too, as you can share it to them even if they're from another realm.

May be bugged in WotLK Classic. I used the corpse on the brazier at the end but did not get quest credit.

Just did a run of OK and didn't acquire a watcher corpse? Bad luck or did I do something wrong?

Kilix the Unraveler in the Pit of Narjun wants you to obtain an Ahn'kahar Watcher's Corpse and place it upon the Ahn'kahet Brazier in Ahn'kahet.

This quest can only be completed on Heroic Difficulty.

Ahn'kahet, from whence we came...

One day, I dream, we shall overcome the death and darkness that hold our ancient home in their grip. To that end, I have a plan to weaken the resolve of our enemies.

Their precious Watchers must burn!

Take their corpses and place them upon the brazier deep within the city. The scent of their burnt remains will linger in the air, reminding our enemy of their weakness.

Be mindful, <class>! Their undead corpses are most fragile and will deteriorate rapidly.
