The last phrase in Gekgek's dialog is likely a reference to a scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where King Arthur is attempting to speak with a French guard in a castle about the whereabouts of the holy grail. The guard insults Arthur and his knights in a rather odd fashion, and tells them to leave, "now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!"

This quest will make you unfriendly with the Oracles. Choose your faction before you do this quest.

Tracker Gekgek only offers this quest immediately after you kill Pitch (the mob standing right by him).

This quest sides you with Frenzyheart Tribe and against The Oracles. During your Frenzyheart quests, you'll eventually get Just Following Orders which abruptly switches you to Hostile with Frenzyheart, Friendly with Oracles. Fear not, this change is not permanent. You can always change which faction you are aligned with after the quest line is over.

Someone was already killing Pitch when I arrived... but the quest was still offered to me after Pitch died.

i never picked it up after i killed pitch. how do i accuire this quest again? i went back to Gekgek after the fact but he has no quest to offer me :( i went frenzyheart hill and thee is nothing what sould i do?

Killing pitch again does not make the quest appear, not sure if someone with the "Part TIme Hunter" quest will make it appear or not.

I don't really get how you can "steal" a kill from someone who runs away with his tail between his legs (in this case, literally) just because the thing moved.

To obtain Quest:
You have to kill "Patch". That way you steal his pray and he makes you his slave... now you can get whole chain that allows you to chose what faction you will get to like. Oracales or Frenzyheart.

This quest chain is annoying. it looks like you are going to ally yourself with the frenzyheart but in reality at the end of this mammoth quest chain you actually finally get to choose which faction to ally yourself.
I had to search the internet for this. its not evident ingame is it?

This quest chain starts by killing the cat Pitch, you may need
Part time hunter. Once you kill Pitch, a frenzyheart starts:

The Underground Menace
Mischief in the Making
Rough Ride
Lightning definitely strikes twice

That ends the Frenzy Heart side. You kill the attacking croc and a Gorloc has a quest:

Make the Bad Snake go away
Gods like shiny things

Back so soon

Angry Gorloc
Lifeblood of the Mosswalker Shrine
Final Quest:
Hero's Burden - this is where you choose your faction.
You can repeat it each day to pick a different faction.

I intend to do a a lot of mining and herbing in Sholozar Basin, including areas occupied by one or the other clan, so I want to remain neutral with both. It seems to me that once I've done "Playing Along" I will always be allied with one side or the other. If this isn't the case, someone please post it here.

I did the quest but when i did it i lost the one guy that was your companion and nvr got one back so when i saw befor that he gave you a quest i just ignored it went afk and accidentaly logged out then when i got back on the quest wasnt there cuz i turned the quest i was doing (not the one he gave) wich was the quest that the guy was my companion but i still cant figure out why i cant get the quest. I cant get the guy again. Please HELP ME !

Turning in this quest makes you unfriendly with the Oracles.

Edit: After doing the chain you get the opportunity to pick sides, so no worries!

Quest seems to still be bugged. I had to submit a ticket to get the quest assigned.

In the ticket I made sure to tell them the quest wasn’t offered after killing Pitch and the feeder quest was also not available. I also mentioned that I had already checked wowhead and that this seems to be an issue.

I understand you were having some trouble starting the quest Playing Along.

I did some digging into this to see what I could find out. From the looks of it, killing Pitch should be the only thing you need to do to accept this chain. However, I did test this out myself and wasn't able to get it to offer the quest properly either. In this case, you should be eligible for it so I started it for you. You should be able to continue as normal from here though.

Tracker Gekgek only offers this quest immediately after you kill Pitch (the mob standing right by him).

However, it's currently not showing properly, a /reload is needed after Gekgek is finished running.
