First, be sure you have Might As Well Wipe Out the Scourge quest too because ... erm ... you might as well wipe them out.

You can get Engine-Core Crystal from any Festering Ghoul inside the necropolis. On the left side (when you enter) there is a corridor leading outside and to the top of the fallen necropolis. In the "firsts floor" there is Doctor Razorgrin in his lab - kill him to get Magical Gyroscope. Continue your way to the top to find Lich-Lord Chillwinter. Kill him to get Piloting Scourgestone.

ok the entire left side confused me so i thought I'd clear it up when you enter the room the hallway is on your right. both lich lord chillwinter and the dr are that way.

Just to clarify, the Ghouls in the Festering Pools just outside of the actual Necropolis will drop the crystals too.

The corridor leading to the top is actually on the right side of the room when you first enter it.

Enter and go right up the right passageway. up and around the 1st mob is on the right you will see him kill him and go right to the top for the second mob

Do not use Killing spree on mob whos working on the cage, i got inside it and cannot get out . :D

Just as a heads up for anyone on this quest, inside the necropolis as you follow the path up on your left after you enter, you'll see a dark triangle near the top of the ramp .

Whatever you do, DO NOT walk into/over the triangle! There's a hole in texture; I fell for ~20 seconds before dying. After releasing, I found myself at the graveyard in Fizzcrank Airstrip, while my corpse was lying, not in Talramas or even in Borean Tundra, but at the southern graveyard in Scholozar Basin.

If you look closely on the doctor's table there's an abomination head, with an eye that swivels round and round. Looks cool :)

I just went left side outside of the building all the way to the top, you can find the lichlord chillwinter right away, after you kill her. You can jump down to get the doctor. It is much easier to get to this way.

For those who cant find the hallway, just mount up to the top part of the mountains. From there you can easily jump down to the Necropolis. I killed the lich then range attacked the doctor, the doctor aggros and doesnt reset when he comes to the top level.

Tinky really feels weird after that teleportation.. you know.. like when you suddenly feel an evil twin spawning in some cold place.

Follow first post. Kill a few Gouls around Tinky to get the Engine core Crystal.

Gyroscope drops from Doctor Razorgrin at loc (70, 13). Hes on one of the floors of the structure where you get the quest. Do a '/target doctor' and mark him will help.

Piloting Scourgestone drops from Lich-Lord Chillwinter at loc (69, 13). Just above the structure.

You can ride up the mountain behind and to the north of the Necropolis, and get to the Doctor and Lich-Lord from there as well.

In case anyone else had the same brain-deadishness that I did, to get to the Doctor and Lich-Lord you need to take the stairs to get above the structure. If you are facing the quest-giver (in the cage) go to your right, up the hill/mound and take the stairs at the top (on the right side).

I'm sure it was obvious but it might help some.

The cultists magicked me into this cage and there's no door to it. Little did they know that I'm the chief transmatter engineer for the airstrip!

With your help, and a little elbow-grease, I won't be in here for long.

I'm going to need an engine-core crystal from one of the ghouls in here, a magical gyroscope from their doctor, and a piloting scourgestone from the lich-lord up top.

With all of that stuff, I should be able to make a port device to get back to Fizzcrank's and escape the gnome way!
