For those without Co-ords, Go straight east along the top of the lake, then follow the edge of the snow. When you get a dwarf camp on your right stop, the tablet is in a clump of rocks just to the west of the dwarf camp.

This item does not sparkle like every other quest object in the game currently, so it is pretty easy to miss. It is on the opposite side of the rock outcrop west of the dwarf camp around 72, 17.

seeing as everybody likes to post useless coordinates instead of land marks for people without coordinates. the broken tablet is directly north of the N in run of Giant's Run, near the mountains. little bit west of the dotted path going into the mountains.

i hope this helps those without coordinates.

This quest is marked Group because the entire chain is Group quests - both the prerequisite and the followup require you to kill Elites. Probably just something Blizzard does for consistency - off the top of my head, I remember the Bloodmyst chain starting with this quest - the first three quests are pretty much courier quests, but the last quest is a group quest, so the entire chain is marked "Group."

Don't let the fact that it is listed as a group quest deter you; I think it's only because the quest before was a group quest and the quest after (Demolishing Megalith) is a group quest too. To complete this quest, simply go to . Keep an eye out for the elites you had to kill in the previous quest. The Tablet is on the north side of the rock formation; you walk up to and use the rune fragment. A short cutscene follows where Megalith talks to spirit versions of the Stone Giants--don't worry, they won't attack you--then you're done. You can also do the quest Mastering the Runes while you are there. Go down to area, just south of where you completed the last quest. The item spawns randomly under any canopy in the area and it looks exactly like the box next to Prospector Belvar, the questgiver.

While the co-ords are correct and you don't wanna hear me quibble over a .5 diff in numbers, I'll offer some help to those who are looking for this tablet that don't use a co-ord addon. The easiest physcial way to find it is to open your map of the HF zone, in the northeast you'll see "Giant's Run" and a series of dots noting a path. You should go to the bottom "dot" and have your character beacon stand just off to the left (West) of it. The tablet is there on the north side of some rocks which are between the snowfall line and the camps of the iron dwarves. The tablet is big enough to see and yes, it will highlight if you mouse over it.
Also, you can do this alone easily and there is nothing more than a short animated event when you activate your rune sample. Happy Hunting.

As a lvl76 BM hunter he was easy like any other non-elite mob. Popped BW and by the time it faded he was dead. ~27k hp 200-300 hits on pet.

I think they changed it.. Now you're going to fight a couple of lvl 71 elites.. that's what happened to me..

Not sure why they are saying this is suggested 3 players, If you keep an eye out for the stone peeps you will be fine.

This is not a 3 person quest. I did not have to fight a single mob.

Go to 71,17. You will see the broken tablet. Use the Rune Sample when standing next to the broken tablet. I mounted my flying mount immediately after that. Several mobs appeared, a boss gave them a pep talk, and they vanished. The quest then was marked "complete"

If we can locate what's luring the giants northwest, we might be able to stop them before they reach their destination.

Although I was able to decipher many of the runes on the samples you brought me, the ones I don't know concern me the most. When I visited Giants' Run, I noticed a large broken tablet jutting from the ground where the northeastern part of the area met the snow at the foot of Frostblade Peak. Take this sample, compare the runes with the tablet, and see what you can learn.
