A promise that Pandaren will be in the game?

This is a new, high level drink added in the 2009 Brewfest, sold by Drohn's Distillery.

The name is a reference to the Pandaren, a race full of the supposed-best Brewmasters in the World of Warcraft. A Pandaren is even the icon of the Brewmaster achievement. Brewmaster Drohn shows his mastery of Pandaren recipes when you give him Chen's Empty Keg.

The name itself is most likely a reference to the implicit promise that Pandarens would eventually be included in the game. The Pandaren Monk released in 3.2.2 is so far the closest we have to their inclusion, but how to obtain the monk is currently unknown.

It seems like this item has a bug. It grants the 40 resilience, but does not grant the 40 stamina.

Not available to alliance, hmm, does that suggest Pandaren are promised to horde? I would have thought ally but oh well.

Blizzard entertainment denied Pandaren from ever having presence in the game when China threatened to embargo WoW if Pandaren were implemented -- Pandaren were originally intended to be the Alliance's response to the Blood Elves, but when the threat of Embargo haunted blizzard sales, they looked to Draenei as a response

This explains why the TBC "Alliance" race was so top-secret for so long.

I see Pandaren in our near future. First a Non-combat Pandaren Monk pet, then the Pandaren Brewmaster figurine, and now, this, "Promise of the Pandaren". Could it really be a Promise of Pandaren? I think it's a subliminal message :P Blizz is trying to tell us Pandaren will soon be in game, and that Blizzard workers don't give a %^&* about China. lol.
