It's very interesting to see that the socket bonus stat effectively matches the colour of the socket itself. Very unusual and I can't think of any more items like this (although I'm quite sure that some smartass will link a big list).

Just got this tonight from 10 man Auriaya. I have the hero's surrender and hate to give it up for this, losing dodge but gaining def and stam, eh. Ugly shield as well but I won't knock it too much.

Getting a nerf in patch 3.1.2 for paladins and a buff for warriors. (trading str for expertise)

Yeah, picked it up last night before resets. The trade off with my Paladin's Hero's Surrender is questionable.

Slight Stamina increase for an overall avoidance loss, though not much to either.

With the coming changes to it in 3.1.2, losing 19 strength and only gaining and Expertise, which I don't need; I'm having my doubts.

I'd like to say this is better than Wall of Terror, really would. But, at least for a pally, it isn't.

I'd imagine that they'll soon buff this, like they buffed WoT.

Wearing this shield on back should give a bonus: You can't be Ambushed by Rogues. They can't find your back.

Picked this shield up tonight and finally replaced my old crappy Titansteel Defender. I'm quite tempted to make a macro that yells "FACE!" whenever I use Shield of Righteousness.

Compared to wall of terror, this item still can hold its job as a tanking shield if you socket it properly with a +24 stam jewel or even a 30 stam stormjewel (considering the large gap of stamina between those 2), its a bit odd to actually have a lower ilvl item on a harder instance. and this item can get you to expertise rating cap real fast (sacrificing lots of stamina (fixed with jewel) a bit of armor and dims of block value, sadly it seems that we wont be seeing this item much often, due the fact that WoT will get buffed in 3.2 and the whole block value will get a major redo, hopefully, blizz will also reconsider remaking the values of this awesome looking shield

Even though I have a better shield now, I always equip this in Dalaran. Then, I stand behind people with my shield on my back. If they're zoomed in when they look, it looks like an old man is staring angrily at them, which is just creepy.

And that makes it the best shield ever.
