This tome can be purchased by mages from Noblegarden Merchants for the cost of 100 Noblegarden Chocolates (which are received from looting and opening Brightly Colored Eggs). Since it is BoP, I highly doubt other classes will be able to see the tome on Noblegarden Merchants.

question for all mages of all levels can you get this on lvl 1? it says "Requires Level 60" so I was wondering if it only requires useage lvl 60 or getting it lvl 60?

So far all posts questioning if this item can be looted from eggs have been downrated but unanswered, so I guess there must be some wowhead users that know the answer to these trivial questions but are unwilling to share it with us. If you are one of these knowledgeable wowhead users, please respond in addition to marking down.

Until such a response is given, I will share my thoughts on the subject:

Since the holiday has now lasted for well over a day and there has not been a single report of looting the tome from the egg, it's fairly safe to assume that it can only be acquired by buying them for 100 chocolate eggs. The fact that eggs normally only drop 1 item each and the tome is a class-specific item further supports this assumption.

If you want to play it safe and are also aiming for the Noblegarden achievements, you can always delay buying the Tome till last.

Although the tome itself requires level 60 to learn, you're able to see it as a low-level mage and buy it =) Just did so on my level 12 mage.

Okay, I have a question for you high level mages. I have a 25 mage and the penguin glyph. If I use this tome, does that mean my glyph wills still turn it into a penguin, or is this a separate option from regular polymorph that's unaffected by the glyph?

Just bought it with a lvl12 mage, dont have to be level 60 to buy it, only lvl60 to use it.

there's a bug currently that changes your gender to male when you are transformed into a rabbit. It's noticable when a mage chain polymorphs you and your combat log is filled with "You have lost the title Matron" "You have gained the title Patron" over and over.

The good thing about new Polymorph spells is, of course, keeping track of what mage polymorphed what when you have several mages in your party (and more common: your raid). More variety will make it easier for mages to decide between themselves who gets to use what polymorph. There is, naturally, an obsessive group out there than wants an extreem variety of polymorphs.

Personally, I admit to being a big fan of polymorphs. I have a mage on an RP server that is a "Polymorph Developer" as her job. Developing new polymorphs that later come into the game will make her 'career' more in-depth with the game. Though I doubt her current project "Polymorph: Giraffe" will ever happen (she wanted something large so her CC would stop getting overlooked). But perhaps some other polymorph might come out that will match what she's been 'developing'.

Inn any event, creating newer versions of 'the same old thing' is common in many cultures (cars? appliances? tp? hair dye? mugs? clothes?). Why not make that common in the cultures of the WoW World? It shouldn't be too overly hard for them to come up with new ones, and with only that much effort, they make the game even more the type to get lost in.

The below comments about purchasing the poly rabbit are incorrect in classic. I just tried to purchase this with my level 40 mage and I'm getting a message "you must reach level 60 to purchase that item".
