With a combination of focused rage and improved heroic strike. This will GAIN you 1 rage every time you crit with heroic strike.

this is probably good for bosses... normally I spot my rage is high then heroic strike e.g. 5 or 10 times in a row until i avoid a hit or two and my rage is low again... just as you take imp heroic strike to spam heroic strike for longer, this will do the same.

however it depends how much threat is an issue in wotlk - people are saying threat will not be an issue for warriors, but if that's the case u may as well /afk!

I would like to note that you CANNOT stack several glyphs of the same type to increase the effect. Upon attempting to inscribe a duplicate Glyph at the Lexicon of Power you recieve the message:

"That Glyph is already inscribed in your spellbook."

Improved Heroic Strike 3/3 + Focused Rage 3/3 + Glyph of Revenge + Glyph of Heroic Strike = Free Heroic Strike after every Revenge (almost every 5 seconds) that will ADD 10 rage on a critical hit following the Revenge.

ADDS 1 rage on a critical hit not following a Revenge.

Synergizes with Cruelty 5/5 and Incite 3/3 (+20% chance to critical with Heroic Strike).

The math

Given - Glyph of Heroic Strike = +10 Rage for Heroic Strikes that critical hit.
Given - Glyph of Revenge = Following a Revenge the next Heroic Strike costs 0 Rage.
Given - 3/3 Improved Heroic Strike & 3/3 Focused Rage = Heroic Strike cost 9 Rage.

Situation #1
Your Heroic Strike criticals and does not follow a Revenge.
Cost to cast = -9 Rage
Glyph effect = +10 Rage
Net effect = +1 Rage

Situation #2
Your Heroic Strike criticals following using Revenge.
Cost to cast = 0 Rage (glyph effect)
Glyph effect = +10 Rage
Net effect = +10 Rage

I kinda dont get it. HS is rage dump usually, gaining rage of using HS just wastes the rage, since there is no other thing you can use off global cd and your most rage costly move has 6s cd (SS - 30/27).
Unless you are a Fury warrior or Prot PvP (HS does waay more damage than devastate, not to mention on crit) i dont see really a major use for this.
Looks nice in theory on paper with all the stuff, but in practice... thats what it is. A waste.

Only thing i wonder about in here is that as far as i remember you gain threat for rage gains (eg bloodrage creates threat). The actual scale of this function is yet to test.

It's not a waste for a tank because...

1. Most warriors are not going to take the 3/3 Improved Heroic Strike. Without the Improved Heroic Strike 3/3, after a Revenge you will not gain rage when your Heroic Strike does not crit and you will only gain rage on critical Heroic Strikes following a Revenge.

2. Not all of your Heroic Strikes are rage gainers with these 2 glyphs. You still generate zero rage from the actual hit damage on a Heroic Strike laden hit... so you are still dumping rage, just not as fast. You will still be dumping rage since not all of your Heroic Strikes will be following Revenge while it's on cooldown. During the 5 second cooldown of Revenge a good 1.6ish weapon is going to allow you to get in 2 Heroic Strikes that are not "free" The +10 rage gain on the critical hits minus the Heroic Strike cost of 12 (no Imp Hero Strike) or 9 (Imp Hero Strike) means you are still burning rage even on the critical hits.

All that being said, not being able to burn all of your rage is not a bad thing if you can still get all of the major available mitigation talents and none of the glyphs available are mitigation glyphs. If you are able to use any skill you want as needed while firing Heroic Strike every swing because you have a rage-pool and still can't burn your rage... you are in a good situation...

Also remember, rage gained = threat.

Changed in PTR, now only 5% more crit chance, prot warriors wont notice, fury warriors will

In its previous state of adding 10 rage when you crit with heroic strike, I didn't pay much attention to it as a prot warrior.

But now this glyph has a bit more use for boss encounters, due to the unlimited rage I'm using heroic strike for every single hit. This glyph might bring prot warriors much closer to proving more contribution to overall damage.

Changed back in new PTR build to 10 rage on crit. Much better for Fury, and Prot won't care so much. :)
