This glyph is becoming more & more appealing when AOE tanking. The glyph for Heroic Strike is better, but I feel I'm using Cleave a ton more now. Of course, for boss tanking it isn't going to be much help in most situations.

The big kicker is that while we are enjoying AOE tanking in The Burning Crusade, we will not likely see this level of AOE tanking in Wrath of the Lich King (this has been stated by Blizzard).

God the 3.0.8 update to this glyph made this thing GOOD!

I'd say it's pretty much compulsory for... well nearly anyone. It upped my dps while tanking by a good deal and helps me control my groups. I've yet to use it while grinding or questing, but I can imagine it doing wonders there too. I'm saying bye bye to my glyph of revenge. I will never use HS again while tanking trash and bosses give me enough rage even if don't get the free HS every 5 seconds.

Actually, I can imagine myself speccing down to Imp Cleave in fury with this thing. Atleast for heroic tanking. Sure there's alot more important things when tanking raids, but while flying through heroics, Imp Cleave could be worth sacrificing Puncture and Iron Will for examble.

EDIT: And well I did spec to Imp Cleave in fury with this thing and must say it's somewhere around godlike sometimes. On Naxx trash 40%-50% of my overall damage consists of cleave and on the larger groups I do 2200-2400dps. Best I saw was on 4-horsemen patroltrash where we got more and more mobs walking on us, me picking them up. Now it required a very good healer to keep me alive, but hacking 2900dps on one pull as a protection warrior was sure as hell worth it.

Ofcourse the usefulness of this glyph and Imp Cleave is very negligible on bosses and single target trash. But I'm having fun with it.

This is my favorite glyph, even for leveling: Charge into one mob, run into another, switch to berserk and intercept a third.
Pop berserker rage when they reach you, spam cleave & whirlwind, they drop in a few seconds.

My Fury-spec warrior is loving on this glyph. Dual-wielding two-handed weapons and being able to hit three mobs at once? priceless. It practically turns him into an AoE DPS.
