only if you have at least 4 points in improved poisons, this will actually be better than wound poison.

With that fact that with a 1.4 speed dagger you can easily get 100% application rate when envenom's up and pretty near just with the 5/5 talent. Surprised more assassination rogues don't use two 1.4 speed daggers for pve
Edit: Slightly more clear now, those application probabilities are way off, improved poisons only increases it by a percentage, the difference is fairly minor even with envenom up the application chance isn't that high
