In beta, you'd get the recipe for finishing the quest - was a nice way to get cooking to 400 with vendor bought mats. Appears to have been removed. Of course, Blizzard didn't remove it from this achievment...gg guys.

My only real issue with this being that of the 46 recipes listed on stage 3 of The Northrend Gourmet, you must cook 45 of them....and 4 of them, as listed above, are unconfirmed/unatainable, leaving you able to cook 42/45. Stage 3 of TNG is required for the "Chef" title. >.> GG Blizz.

I opened a GM ticket about this and the other three missing recipes. I had to log before they got back to me, but the email I got later said "We are aware of the situation you reported, and we are currently working on a solution."

Edit: the next patch's notes confirm what the GM told me, albeit with more detail.

The thing about them adding it in 3.0.8 is that the achievement for cooking 45 recipes still exists. They completely removed 2 of the 4 missing recipes and made this one and fish feast available. Which means you still cant be a chef. Get Raped.

Changes coming in patch 3.0.8:

Recipe: Shoveltusk Soup is disappearing.
Recipe: Succulent Orca Stew is disappearing.
Recipe: Fish Feast will be sold for 5 Dalaran Cooking Awards.
Recipe: Kungaloosh will be taught by a drunkard in the Dalaran Sewers.

The final tier of The Northrend Gourmet achievement is lowered to 44 from 45.

I could verify the above info on the test servers but I wasn't able to find somebody that was selling the Kungaloosh recipe in the Dalaran Sewers.

On PRT: The guy who gives this recipe is named "Washed-up Mage". He is in the sewers of Dalaran behind a grate with a "!" over his head. Just talk to him, complete the quest and get the recipe. There is actually no quest to do; you just get the recipe by talking to him.

Making Kungaloosh costs 66 silver per 5 in mats with no rep discounts.

This is significantly cheaper than buying the comparable Honeymint Tea from vendors (1g 10s per 5)--and Kungaloosh gets you drunk, too!

Basically it's as easy as accepting the quest, talking to him, and you learn it! No charge.

Although, Blizz may decide to change this later.

The recipe is buyable from todays patch 3.0.8. After you have finished quest The Taste Test go to Dalaran. Inside of Dalarans sewers you found NPC Washed-up Mage. He gives you quest for learning this recipe.

Look for A WASHED UP MAGE, 44, 25 inside the bars in the sewer. He will have the quest for you.

For those without Tloc, in the Hallway north of Circle of Wills, go to the western point and look in the grate for a dead mage.

To get this Recipe you have to:

Do some quests in Scholazar Basin at the crash Nessingwary Basecamp.
When you get to the quests with Grimbooze Thunderbrew do all of them.
At the end you can get The taste test do that quest.
Go to Dalaran and down to The Sewers.
At the end of the first tunnel(if you enter from the south entrance) you will see iron bars and behind there is Washed-Up Mage
He will know have a quest that you finish direct and that do so you learn Kungaloosh.

To obtain this recipe from the Washed Up Mage in Dalaran you must first travel to the Nessingwary Base Camp in Sholazar Basin (about 27,59). At this camp you must complete the quests:

Need an Engine, Take an Engine (for Weslex Quickwrench)

Venture Co. Misadventure (for Debaar)

Then you must do the following quests from Wes and Debaar:

Have a Part, Give a Part

Wipe That Grin Off His Face

After you have completed these four quests, new quests open up from Buck Cantwell and Hemet Nessingwary. You must complete the quests,

Dreadsaber Mastery: Becoming a Predator

Rhino Mastery: The Test

to open up the final quest line required to speak with the Washed Up Mage: Some Make Lemonade, Some Make Liquor. You must complete this whole quest line ("Some Make Lemonade, Some Make Liquer", "Still At It", and "The Taste Test") before you return to the Underbelly of Dalaran to learn Kungaloosh.

Nihn is right. The potion method is not required to get the recipe just another way to get it rather than the quest line method.

Washed up mage is behind a sewer grate in dalaran sewers. you need to complete the sholazar basin quest chain to get recipe. He has green snoring emote and is a little hard to see. Run straigh from sewer entrance by violet stand crystal. the grate is straight down the hall.

The washed up mage is allways sleeping when I come to him and doesn't react to anything (included patting and singing to him). I have completed the perquests and have the AB achivement for 75/75 quest completed. Also, I've gone to nesingwary's and no quest left there.

I learned this recipe from the cooking trainer beside Valiance Keep at cooking level 375. Not sure what other trainers offer it.

Does not require 375 cooking. I just learned it at 352. Probably was changed from when it was learned from a recipe to directly from the mage.

I love it how this recipe doesn't contain Papaya, Bananas or Oranges to make it (once you learn it). Are we sure it's the same drink?

Found "Washed-up Mage" in (43,24) in the Dalaran Sewers. He'll teach you Kungaloosh.

Not sure if you have to do the Nessingwary quests first though.

That's pretty strange, i've done all quests in Sholazar, but mage dont give any quests to me. I even re read whole brunch few times (just in case) :P is it the only pre quests? coz i've done em, but mage still gives no q.

i would pay the extra gold to NOT get drunk every time i needed mana. usually don't like turning side to side, or dealing with blurred vision when i'm running around in a raid/dungeon/bg/farming/anywhere. i see people drinking this all the time and can't understand it.

I've completed every single quest in Sholazar Basin including the 'The Taste Test' when you make the Kungaloosh. I also have 450 cooking, I found this mage in the Dalaran Sewers but he will not give me a quest. I can't interact with him at all. I don't know if this a glitch or what.....I could use some advice on the subject.

The recipe is given by an NPC named "Washed Up Mage". He is lying hidden behind one of the grates in the Dalaran sewers. This was hard for me to find so I submitted a screenshot for others. Vote this up and the older outdated posts down!
