It's probably a bit worse than Darkmoon Card: Greatness (90 spirit + 300 spirit proc chance) while true that you won't be able to use it when most needed the hidden cd on proc trinkets is usually 45 sec which makes darkmoon card better

This trinket stacks with the earrings of soulful meditation. In other words, you can choose to use both trinkets at the same time...pushes my mana regen well over 1900 per 5 while not casting.

This trinket is probably better for a priest than the Darkmoon Card because it can be used in sync with Inner Focus.

Popping a spirit trinket along side time outside the FSR is going to yield more MP/5 than the Greatness card proccing while inside the FSR

So much mana regen I have just over 1000mp5 during this squence of events. I generally get a free 5-6k mana after doing this.

This a great item for those who need spirit. As a resto druid you really notice the increased regen even without using innervate with it.

Virtually any druid who has be looking to get spirit on as much gear as possible is likely to be able to continue casting constantly and get all mana back when using this with innervate.

I have nearly 19k mana and 15 seconds into innervate with this item (from close to 0 mana) and I have ALL of my mana back even when spam casting throughout.

Should only be taken by a Priest/RestoDruid/(Resto shaman if nobody needs it).

Everyone else(Yes, you holy paladins) It's not okay to roll on this. Spirit is garbge for you, I know Warlocks benefit from spirit, but it's too much spirit, leaving you without other stats. For balance druids, yes - spirit is one of your main regen stats. But it should not be sacrificed over crit/hit/haste/SP

This gives extra spirit for Holy priests and resto druids.

tl;dr - don't roll on this unless youre a resto druid or holy priest.

I'm a tad suprised that there has not been a comment yet about this trinket for Spriests.
I obtained this a couple days ago and noticed that it stacks with Spirit Tap

My spirit is 620 on my Spriest but when using this trinket immediately after gaining Spirit Tap
the 336 spirit is added to my 620 and then doubled.
My spirit skyrockets to a whopping 1912!

That added with both the talent Twisted Faith and the buff from the Glyph of Shadow increases my spell power by a noticable amount of 320
(not counting the passive 10% without spirit tap or trinket). This huge mana regen and spell power buff lasts about 10 seconds but against trash and in 5 mans where you can usually get a killing blow and a crit within a reasonable amount of time it shines.

As you can tell I am by no means an expert at number crunching and I make no claims. =P
The situational boost to a Spriest however is obvious enough that I couldn't resist at least mentioning it to those Spriests out there looking at this.

I absolutely love this trinket as a holy priest. The spirit (even after the O5SR regen nerf coming in 3.1.0) offers an excellent amount of regen for priests and druids.

I match this up with the old school Darkmoon Card https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/item=19288 and it provides an amazing amount of mana return. Whenever I see the <Aura of the Blue Dragon> proc in my SCT, I pop this sucker and then pop Inner Focus just as the DC:BD proc is about to end. It gives full O5SR regen for the duration of the 20 second Use:, yielding a large amount of mana.

I usually roll with about 1200 spirit/1000 mp5 O5SR and with this and the DC:BD active it gives between 4500 and 6000 mana during that 20 sec, plus you get to cast for that whole time and you're basically cheating the game into thinking that you aren't casting (any spells you cast with the Blue Dragon proc active follow O5SR regen rules, and Inner Focus doesn't count as casting because the next spell does not cost mana).

I rolled with a similar combination at 70 (https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/item=19288 and https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/item=30665), and it followed the same logic.

Also, if you can manage to coordinate the use of this trinket with an Innervate and Replenishment, expect your mana to go from zero to full. I roll with about 22k mana raid buffed and it fills back up in less than 15 seconds.

Comparing the three possible pure regen trinkets at 80 - Spirit-World Glass, Spark of Hope, and Darkmoon Card, Blue Dragon:

Spark of Hope's proc is 140 mp5 if you're casting an average of 1.5 sec (or instant) spells. At 3 sec spells it's half that, 70 mp5, and if you have haste with your 1.5/instant spam (i.e., disc priest), it's more. 100 spirit is on top of that, providing approximately 25 mp5, for a total of around 150 mp5 for an average healer. In fights with breaks, its value falls by the % of time not casting, but for this to be over around 20% is very unusual, so we can safely say it's a minimum of approximately 120 mp5.

Spirit World Glass is very situational, but consider that many fights have a break where you don't need to be casting right then. Off the top of my head in Ulduar, there are breaks on Razorscale (right after she lifts off), XT (heart phase), Iron Council if no one's taking Brundir's lightning squid, Hodir while running to ice floes, Freya between add waves if tank healing is covered, and all of Mimiron's phase transitions. In these cases, you're getting the full or partial benefit from the +336 spirit while not casting at all, negating the advantage of stacking SWG with this trinket.

Now, assuming 600 base regen while not casting as a ballpark figure, let's see how much BD gives back. Assuming no ICD and an average cast time of 2 seconds, you'll see a proc on average every 100 seconds. Any class that has enough spirit for this trinket to matter also has a 50% mana regen while casting talent, so you're gaining 300 mana/5 while casting over what you'd normally have. You get 3 of those 5 second intervals, for a gain of 900 mana every 50 seconds, which is 18 mana per second or 90 mp5.

So comparing: Spark of Hope is very clearly superior even before the spirit at any cast time (faster casts proc BD more, and also benefit more from spark of hope). The benefit of Spirit World Glass is harder to quantify, but assuming 1000 spirit and int (reasonable in Ulduar gear), you have a base spirit-based regen of 529 when not casting (and, presumably, half that while casting). The passive spirit effect on SWG will raise this by 44 while not casting, 22 while casting. The use effect will add an additional 172 mp5 while not casting, or 86 while casting. Assuming instant clicking of the trinket and constant casting, that's 344 per usage every 2 min or 14 mp5 for a total of 58 mp5 for the whole trinket. Assuming it's used intelligently, but adding an extra thirty seconds between uses to account for that, it's a gain of 23 mp5 from the use, or a total of 67 from the entire SWG.

TL;DR: Spark of Hope is by a considerable margin the best pure regen trinket in the game. DC:BD works out to be considerably better than the SWG, which surprised me personally.
